Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Remote Level: Senior Reports To: Head of Cloud Operations / Engineering Manager About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps \& Cloud Operations Engineer to design, automate, secure, and operate the AWS infrastructure that powers our client solutions and managed services offerings. This role is responsible for building and maintaining deployment pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, implementing monitoring and security controls, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple AWS environments. You will play a key role in maintaining reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency for both internal platforms and client workloads. This is a hands-on senior engineering role suited to someone who thrives in cloud operations, automation, infrastructure management, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure \& Automation Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Develop and manage deployment pipelines for applications and infrastructure. Implement automated provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows. Support multi-account AWS deployments and governance frameworks. Cloud Operations Manage and maintain AWS environments across multiple client accounts. Ensure high availability, performance, and operational reliability. Perform patching, upgrades, backup validation, and disaster recovery testing. Drive operational excellence through automation and process improvements. Monitoring \& Incident Management Implement monitoring, observability, alerting, and logging solutions. Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and application issues. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews. Create operational dashboards and reporting capabilities. Security \& Compliance Implement cloud security best practices and security guardrails. Monitor and respond to security findings and vulnerabilities. Support compliance initiatives through logging, auditing, and governance controls. Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into deployment processes. Cost Optimization Monitor cloud spend and identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement tagging strategies, budgets, and cost controls. Produce regular utilization and cost optimization recommendations. Help clients maximize value from their AWS investments. Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and operations. Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation. Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident response. Experience operating multi-account AWS environments. Knowledge of cloud security best practices and governance controls. Experience with backup, disaster recovery, patching, and operational maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Required Certification AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional Preferred Certifications AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate AWS Certified Security – Specialty Preferred Experience Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience. Experience supporting multiple client environments simultaneously. Experience implementing AWS landing zones and governance frameworks. Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
