Responsibilities • Edit 30 to 180 second storytelling videos end to end: brand films, explainers, and short social story cuts. • Shape narrative from raw footage and interview material, selecting the grabs that carry the story and building a structure that holds attention. • Make confident creative calls on pacing, sound, music, and rhythm that serve the story, not just the timeline. • Hold visual and tonal consistency to each client's brand. • Own colour, sound balance, and finish to a premium standard. • Take a brief, interpret it, and deliver a first cut that is ready for collaboration & shaping, not rescuing. • Action revisions accurately and fast. • Manage your own media, project files, and exports to our file structure and naming conventions. • Hand off premiere project files in an organised way so that the project can be worked on or finalised by another team member • Communicate clearly and proactively on progress, blockers, and timelines through Google Chat and Monday.com. • Contribute in review calls as a creative voice. • Who you are: • Experienced. Minimum 4 to 5 years editing professional commercial, branded, or documentary work. You have cut story-driven pieces before. • A storyteller. You love film & documentaries - You understand narrative structure. You can hear a story in raw footage and build it. You know why a cut lands or falls flat. • Fluent in English at a high level. Not just the words, but tonality, pitch, and subtext. You can listen to an interview and know which line carries emotional impact and belongs in the edit. This is essential to the role. • Technically excellent. Advanced in Adobe Premiere Pro. Strong colour grading and sound balancing. After Effects is a real advantage, but not required. • Self-sufficient. You take ownership and deliver without hand-holding. We collaborate closely, but you drive your own work and deadlines. • Disciplined. Excellent file and workflow management. Nothing gets lost, nothing is careless. • Remote-proven. You have worked with international clients and a distributed team, and you communicate well across time zones. • Should be amennable working in Australian Eastern time. • The kind of work you will make: • Short social storytelling cuts - highlights, promos, and story-led social pieces, 30 to 180 seconds, built to stop the scroll and say something. • Brand Films - company and founder showcases that carry a narrative and a feeling. • Explainers - case studies and talking-head pieces that make a point clearly and hold attention. • How you will work with us: • You will join a team of strong editors and a Creative Lead who care about craft. • We run on Google Chat and Monday.com. We give clear briefs and direct feedback, and we expect the same clarity back. • We work to defined delivery timelines and a set revision process.
