We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and dependable Senior Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Officer to lead the end-to-end administration of payroll, compensation, employee benefits, and statutory compliance for our growing organization. This role serves as the primary owner of payroll operations, ensuring employees, project-based personnel, fixed-term employees, and consultants are compensated accurately, on time, and in full compliance with Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Working closely with the Corporate & Business Operations (CBO) Team, Talent Services Partner, Finance, external accounting partners, payroll providers, government agencies, and legal advisors, the successful candidate will oversee payroll processing, statutory compliance, payroll accounting, benefits administration, reconciliations, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate possesses strong payroll accounting expertise, extensive knowledge of Philippine compensation and benefits administration, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage highly confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5–7 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, compensation and benefits administration, and payroll accounting. Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, payroll regulations, taxation, and government-mandated contributions, including: SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG BIR Withholding Tax Experience using payroll and accounting systems such as Xero or similar ERP/payroll platforms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including payroll formulas, reconciliation, reporting, and payroll analytics. Strong analytical, numerical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage highly confidential payroll and employee information with discretion. Able to manage multiple priorities, meet strict payroll deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Manage the end-to-end payroll process for regular employees, project-based employees, fixed-term employees, and consultants. Validate Daily Time Records (DTRs), leave balances, overtime, undertime, absences, holidays, and other payroll inputs. Accurately compute salaries, allowances, incentives, statutory deductions, taxes, reimbursements, payroll adjustments, and other compensation components. Process payroll accurately and ensure timely salary releases. Prepare and compute final pay, separation pay, and related payroll clearances in accordance with labor laws and company policies. Maintain complete and accurate payroll records within payroll and accounting systems. Prepare payroll registers, journals, variance analyses, reconciliation schedules, and management reports. Respond to payroll-related inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, payslips, tax computations, and final pay while coordinating non-payroll concerns with the appropriate HR stakeholders. Compensation & Benefits Administration Administer compensation programs including salary adjustments, promotions, regularization increases, annual merit reviews, and performance-based incentives. Manage employee enrollment, maintenance, and updates for HMO, group life insurance, wellness programs, and other company-sponsored benefits. Coordinate with benefit providers regarding enrollments, claims, renewals, billing, policy updates, and employee concerns. Monitor benefit utilization and prepare reports to support budgeting and renewal activities. Ensure compensation and benefits programs comply with company policies and applicable labor regulations. Payroll Accounting & Statutory Compliance Ensure accurate computation, filing, and timely remittance of statutory contributions and taxes, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR withholding taxes. Coordinate with external accounting partners to validate payroll computations, statutory remittances, tax filings, and government reporting. Prepare payroll accounting schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and audit-ready documentation. Maintain complete payroll documentation to support internal and external audits. Monitor legislative and regulatory updates affecting payroll, taxation, labor compliance, and employee compensation. Recommend and implement payroll process improvements that strengthen compliance, efficiency, and internal controls. Consultant Compensation Administration Compute consultant compensation based on approved contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), service agreements, and project deliverables. Coordinate with the Corporate & Business Operations (CBO) Team to verify complete documentation prior to payment processing. Work with external accounting partners to validate consultant compensation, withholding taxes, and supporting documentation. Ensure consultant withholding taxes are correctly applied in accordance with BIR regulations. Maintain accurate consultant payment trackers, reconciliation records, and payment schedules. Provide complete compensation computations and supporting documentation to facilitate timely payment releases. Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with the Corporate & Business Operations (CBO) Team, Talent Services Partner, Finance, external accounting partners, payroll providers, government agencies, and Legal Counsel to ensure accurate payroll processing and regulatory compliance. Coordinate payroll calendars, statutory deadlines, government remittances, payment schedules, and payroll releases across internal and external stakeholders. Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll reconciliations, supporting documentation, compliance reports, and audit schedules. Continuous Improvement Identify and implement initiatives that improve payroll accuracy, operational efficiency, compliance, internal controls, and employee experience. Support the evaluation, implementation, optimization, and automation of payroll and HRIS systems. Develop, update, and maintain payroll policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and internal controls.
