This is your chance to work with a global organization and take your career to the next level. 🧾 US Payroll & Prevailing Wage Specialist 📍 Location: International (Remote) 💻 Work Mode: Fully Remote 🕗 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST 💰 Salary: Competitive 🌐 English: C1 / Advanced (mandatory) 🏢 Employer: Excellent international company 📌 Role Overview The Payroll & Prevailing Wage Specialist is responsible for ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations in government-funded and construction projects. This position focuses heavily on certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance (Davis-Bacon Act), and maintaining accurate documentation to minimize legal and financial risk. 🎯 Key Responsibilities 🧾 Certified Payroll Management • Prepare, review, and submit weekly certified payroll reports (employees and subcontractors) • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and full regulatory compliance ⚖️ Prevailing Wage Compliance • Verify employees are paid correct wages and fringe benefits based on classification • Ensure adherence to prevailing wage determinations (Davis-Bacon Act) 🔍 Auditing & Compliance Control • Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies • Review wage classifications, payroll data, and project compliance 📋 Regulatory Reporting • Submit required documentation to government agencies, auditors, and general contractors • Maintain compliant and audit-ready records at all times 🤝 Stakeholder Support • Act as primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries • Provide guidance to subcontractors on payroll and regulatory requirements ✅ Requirements (Must-Have) 📈 Experience • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in payroll, labor compliance, or construction-related payroll • Proven hands-on experience with prevailing wage compliance (non-negotiable) • Experience with certified payroll reporting systems ⚖️ Regulatory Knowledge • Strong knowledge of US construction payroll compliance • Deep understanding of the Davis-Bacon Act • Familiarity with state and local prevailing wage regulations • Understanding of apprentice utilization rules 🖥️ Technical Skills • Advanced Excel (data analysis, reporting, formulas) • Experience with payroll/compliance platforms such as: – LCPtracker – eMars – Penguin Data – Paychex – Elations 🧠 Soft Skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and compliance requirements • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 🌐 Language • Fluent English (C1 / Advanced level required for reporting and communication) 🎓 Nice to Have ✔️ Certification or training in Davis-Bacon compliance ✔️ Experience working with government-funded construction projects ✔️ Knowledge of subcontractor payroll processes 📩 Send your CV to: 📱 +57 311 227 1192 📧 luis.atencio@solvoglobal.com
