Fleet Safety Support \& Accident/Inspection Intake Location: Remote Schedule Weekends Only – Saturday \& Sunday, 12-Hour Shifts Type: Part-Time 12hours/week About The Role We are a fleet safety and technology company operating a 24/7 call center that supports hundreds of commercial trucking fleets across the United States. We are looking for a reliable, empathetic, and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to provide critical weekend coverage. As the frontline point of contact for commercial truck drivers and fleet managers, you will manage accident and roadside inspection intakes, troubleshoot fleet technology, and ensure that safety data is captured accurately. This role requires a calm head and a professional demeanor, as you will often assist individuals during high-stress situations. Key Responsibilities Fleet Safety Support Frontline Communication: Answer incoming calls from commercial truck drivers and fleet managers. Technical Troubleshooting: Assist with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and fleet camera issues using provided guides. Alert Monitoring: Monitor and respond to real-time alerts from internal systems. Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous logs of all issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Accident \& Roadside Inspection Intake Structured Intake: Follow templated scripts to gather essential data (contact info, location, police report numbers, and violation details). CRM Documentation: Accurately document intake information in real-time during calls. Crisis Management: Maintain a professional and compassionate tone with callers who may be stressed or injured. Escalation: Identify high-priority or severe cases and escalate immediately according to company protocol. Administrative \& Communication Data Integrity: Perform light administrative tasks, including data entry and documentation updates. Team Collaboration: Use Slack and internal tools to ensure smooth handoffs between shifts. Reporting: Summarize unresolved weekend issues for the weekday operations team. Qualifications Required: 1–3 years of experience in a call center, virtual assistant, customer service, or intake specialist role. Exceptional English proficiency (verbal and written) with a clear, professional phone presence. High Emotional Intelligence: Proven ability to handle high-stress callers with patience and empathy. Technical Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software, VoIP systems, Slack, and Google Suite/Microsoft Office. Home Office: Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, dedicated workspace. Compliance: Willingness to sign an NDA and handle sensitive information with discretion. Preferred: Experience in trucking, fleet management, or the transportation industry. Familiarity with ELDs, fleet cameras, or telematics (e.g., Motive, Samsara, Geotab). Experience with personal injury or legal intake processes. Work Arrangement Status: Independent contractor. Equipment: No company-provided equipment; candidates must provide their own professional remote workspace. Benefits This role does not include company-provided benefits or paid leaves. Taxes: The candidate is responsible for their own taxes and statutory contributions. Payroll Cycle: Payroll is issued every other Wednesday, covering the prior 14 calendar days.
