Job Overview We are seeking a senior-level Systems Developer to architect and build our proprietary, in-house security alarm and monitoring software. In this role, you will replace third-party SaaS monitoring tools by building low-latency, real-time software that processes live sensor triggers (fire, smoke, perimeter breaches, unauthorized access) and streams data directly to our monitoring teams. Key Responsibilities Architect, build, and maintain our custom in-house alarm monitoring and tracking platform. Implement real-time, low-latency streaming pipelines for live events, video feeds, and hardware telemetry. Manage cloud infrastructure, custom domain setups, SSL configurations, and backend deployment environments. Ensure zero-missed-alert reliability, high uptime, and instant event routing across all monitored sites. Requirements & Experience: Low-Latency / Streaming Systems: 3+ years experience with WebSockets, MQTT, RTSP, WebRTC, or real-time event-driven backends. Full-Stack & Cloud/DevOps: Experience building web dashboards (React/Vue/Node/Python) and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Render/Docker, SSL, DNS). Hardware / Sensor Logic: Familiarity processing real-time telemetry from physical sensors or IP camera streams. Independent Execution: Proven track record of architecting complete software systems from scratch without micro-management. Remote Track Record: 2+ years of full-time remote software development.
