SEO Content Editor Mover Search Marketing is a digital marketing agency specializing in SEO for moving companies and local service businesses throughout the United States. We're seeking an SEO Content Editor to oversee content quality, writer development, and editorial systems across multiple client accounts. This is a strategic editorial role focused on improving content performance, scaling processes, and helping writers produce stronger SEO-driven content. You'll work directly with our Head of AI \& SEO to improve both content performance and editorial operations. The ideal candidate understands SEO, enjoys building processes, and knows how to help writers improve over time. THIS IS A FULL-TIME REMOTE ROLE. ENGLISH FLUENCY IS REQUIRED. Key Responsibilities Editorial Operations \& Systems Create and maintain editorial SOPs, workflows, quality-control processes, and style guides Identify bottlenecks and improve editorial efficiency Build systems that help writers produce better content with fewer corrections Writer Development \& Coaching Provide structured editorial and SEO feedback Conduct performance reviews and track writer growth Help writers improve content quality, SEO understanding, and self-sufficiency Content Review \& SEO Oversight Review content for search intent, structure, entity coverage, internal linking, schema opportunities, and brief compliance Ensure content meets editorial and SEO standards before publication Collaborate with SEO leadership to improve content performance AI-Assisted Content Operations Help refine AI-assisted research, outlining, and content workflows Improve prompts, documentation, and editorial processes as tools evolve Ensure AI is used effectively without sacrificing content quality REQUIRED SKILLS \& QUALIFICATIONS 3\+ years of content editing experience Strong understanding of SEO and content optimization Experience building SOPs, workflows, style guides, or documentation Experience in coaching writers and providing performance feedback Strong English writing and communication skills Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Agency experience Experience editing content for local service, home service, or moving companies Experience with Surfer SEO, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, or similar tools Experience managing writers or editorial teams WHAT YOU WILL NOT BE DOING Line-editing every article Fixing grammar issues all day Acting as a traditional copy editor Our writers complete self-editing and quality-control processes before the content reaches you.
