We’re an Australian-based online education company looking for an experienced Full-Stack WordPress Developer to join our remote team. We’re looking for someone who can own website builds end to end and has a strong balance of technical development skills and design flair . We build websites that look sharp, load fast, and are structured to perform well across search engines and AI answer engines. Our stack is deliberately simple for performance and maintainability: custom block themes, Gutenberg, and lightweight open-source or custom plugins. No Elementor. No Divi. No WPBakery. No unnecessary bloat. What you’ll be doing: Design and build custom WordPress block themes and patterns Build responsive, accessible, and standards-compliant websites Optimise websites for SEO and AI answer engines using semantic HTML, clean heading structures, optimised images, and well-structured content Keep sites maintainable using well-supported open-source or custom plugins Manage and troubleshoot multiple WordPress websites on WP Engine Handle hosting, DNS, and domain-related issues when required What we’re looking for: Examples of WordPress websites you’ve built Strong HTML and CSS skills Working knowledge of JavaScript and confidence working with PHP Real experience with WordPress block themes, including theme.json, patterns, and template parts Practical understanding of AEO, SEO, accessibility, and website performance Regular use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor Experience with Git, SFTP, and SSH Strong communication skills Figma experience is a bonus Pay: From Php80,000.00 per month Benefits Additional leave Work from home Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Git: 2 years (Required) SFTP: 2 years (Required) SSH: 2 years (Required) Figma: 1 year (Preferred) JavaScript: 2 years (Required) PHP: 2 years (Required) SEO: 2 years (Required) WordPress: 4 years (Required) Language: English (Required) Location: National Capital Region (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
