Summary We are looking for an experienced Sr. IT Specialist who has professional experience and strong technical knowledge of Mac and Windows OS, and other relevant software. Please note that 90% of our user base operates on Mac devices; therefore, intermediate-to-advanced macOS proficiency is strictly required. The person should be familiar with the fundamentals of cybersecurity, specifically email phishing. The role will involve providing general IT and desktop support, system access and application support, and asset and endpoint management. Additionally, the Sr. IT Specialist will supervise a team of IT specialists and manage the daily operations for the department. CRITICAL NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS: Do not apply if you do not possess hands-on, professional experience with the following: Intermediate macOS Expertise: Deep troubleshooting, deployment, and support capabilities for Apple hardware, as 90% of our enterprise environment is Mac-based. 2. Kandji MDM (3+ Years): Direct experience managing, deploying, and securing macOS/iOS devices via Kandji. 3. Okta Identity & Access Management (3+ Years): Mastery of Okta for enterprise identity, lifecycle management, and access provisioning. What you’ll be doing:Primary Non-Negotiable Responsibilities Manage and optimize endpoint deployment and lifecycle management for our 90% Apple-based fleet using Kandji. Implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise identity and access management solutions primarily across Okta, as well as Azure AD and Google Workspace. IT Administration and End-User Support Lead and provide technical support to employees across all locations via Slack, email, Jira tickets, and remote sessions (e.g., Zoom). Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of issues on Mac and Windows computers, mobile devices, and other company technology. Administer and enhance Jira Service Desk workflows to improve IT service delivery and user experience. Develop and maintain automation workflows using Zapier and n8n to streamline repetitive tasks and integrate disparate systems. Configure and monitor security tools, including CrowdStrike and Datadog, to maintain organizational security posture. Document processes, procedures, and system configurations in Notion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams via Slack and other communication platforms. Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support. Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices. Monitor and manage automated processes for user account creation, access provisioning, password management, and employee offboarding to maintain data integrity and security. Ensure departing employees are promptly and securely removed from all relevant systems through automated offboarding workflows. Conduct quarterly audits of applications to verify accurate and consistent implementation of access controls. Provide essential support for software installation, updates, configuration, and hardware setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Schedule and coordinate shipment and retrieval of laptops during onboarding and offboarding, and manage device repairs, procurement, and destruction of obsolete equipment in collaboration with third-party vendors. Continuously monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime and maintain seamless operations. Team Management Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of IT specialists, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Delegate tasks and manage workload to ensure efficient department operations. Oversee projects assigned to Junior IT Support staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and develop training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge. Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to support and complete IT projects. Send regular progress reports to both the client and eFlex, sharing updates from IT Support, IT Security, and Risk and Compliance teams. IT Security Tasks Serve as a backup for monitoring and responding to phishing email reports, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of threats. Collaborate with the IT Security Analyst to review existing CVEs and assist in developing effective remediation strategies. Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of internal workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance security and operational processes. Qualifications and Requirements: Mandatory Core Tooling Experience Endpoint Management (3+ years): Kandji MDM for macOS device management, alongside Apple hardware support and deployment (macOS, iOS) and Windows hardware support and deployment. Identity & Access Management (3+ years): Okta identity and access management platform, 1Password enterprise password management, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, and Microsoft Azure cloud services and administration. Leadership & General Technical Background 1–2 years supervising IT professionals. TSM & Automation (3+ years): Jira and Jira Service Desk administration and workflow design; Zapier automation and integration development. Collaboration & Productivity Tools (3+ years): Slack workspace administration and integration management; Notion workspace administration and knowledge management; Google Workspace administration, security controls, and collaboration tools; Office 365/Microsoft 365 administration. AI & Emerging Technologies (2+ years): Claude AI implementation and integration; Google Gemini AI tools and integration. Technical Skills: Strong expertise in macOS and Windows operating systems; Experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud services; Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VPN, connectivity, authentication); Experience with enterprise security tools (CrowdStrike, Datadog); Strong documentation and knowledge management discipline. Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
