Company: Ezygos Global Services Job type: Full-time Work arrangement: Remote – Philippines Working hours: Dayshift (Philippine Time Zone) Reports to: Chief Technology Officer About The Role Ezygos Global Services is looking for a Head of Quality Engineering to lead and develop our quality engineering function. This is a hands-on technical leadership position. You will lead the quality engineering team while remaining involved in test automation, code reviews, regression testing and CI/CD integration. You will work closely with engineering, product and other stakeholders to improve software quality, release confidence and testing efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage the company’s quality engineering strategy and roadmap. Lead, mentor and support the quality engineering team. Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript or Node.js. Improve automated coverage for APIs, integrations, contracts, user interfaces and end-to-end workflows. Strengthen regression coverage and reduce reliance on repetitive manual testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as merge and release checks. Test applications and services in Docker-based or other containerised environments. Establish effective defect triage, root-cause analysis and quality reporting practices. Participate in design and code reviews to identify quality and testability concerns early. Evaluate and introduce practical AI-assisted testing capabilities. Communicate quality risks and release readiness to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications Strong professional experience in software testing, test automation or quality engineering. Experience building or significantly improving automated testing frameworks. Previous experience leading a QA, SDET or quality engineering team. Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript. Experience testing Node.js services and React applications. Good understanding of risk-based testing and regression-testing strategies. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Docker, containerised services or temporary test environments. Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills. Willingness and technical ability to work with AI-assisted testing tools. Technical Experience Experience with some of the following would be beneficial: Playwright or Cypress Jest, Vitest, Supertest or Pact API, integration, contract and end-to-end testing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI or similar CI/CD platforms Docker or Kubernetes AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Jira, observability tools and quality-reporting platforms Appium or other mobile automation tools Browser agents or LLM-assisted testing tools Applicants are not expected to have experience with every technology listed. We are looking for strong technical fundamentals, sound judgement and the ability to select the appropriate testing approach for each situation. Employment Requirements This is a full-time position requiring consistent availability during the stated working hours. Applicants must be able to commit to the complete full-time schedule.
