We run the content side like a product team: one pipeline, written playbooks, defined SLAs, and a small remote team with high standards. The role We are hiring a Gaming Video Editor (motion-graphics-led) for Midas Gamespace, our evergreen gaming culture channel: game showcases, guides and lists, and culture commentary. No news, no livestreaming. The production line is built so you only edit. Our Ops Lead writes the script, the founder records the VO, and a dedicated capture operator shoots the gameplay to a manifest. You cut 4-6 videos per month, edit plus in-video motion graphics, with flex edits across the network if you're skilled enough for it: less taste-heavy tech videos on the flagship (Tomi | Midas, @techbymidas) and MIDASMVMT fitness follow along workout templated edits. What you own - The cut: Up to 6 videos per month to our written Edit Standards and Channel Bible. - The SLAs: rough cut in 2 days, fine cut within 24 days after receiving feedback. - In-video graphics: lower thirds, callouts, list graphics, transitions, inside the channel template. - Flex edits across the network if you're skilled enough and able to: less taste-heavy tech videos and MIDASMVMT fitness edits, counted within the monthly volume. - Clean delivery: exports, captions handoff, archived project files. What you never own - Research, scripting, or ideation: handled before the job reaches you. - Capture: footage arrives as a logged package. - Publishing and scheduling - Taste calls: the founder holds the final gate on every video. How you're measured A scoreboard, not activity: - Rough and fine cut SLAs hit - Notes landed in one round, improving over time - Graphics consistency with the channel template - Zero publish blocks caused by edit Tools and access Notion access to the pipeline card, script, capture manifest, and standards docs. Footage delivered through shared storage. Your own NLE and motion toolset. Fully remote. What we're screening for - A portfolio of gaming YouTube edits: retention-shaped cuts, not trailers. - Real in-video motion graphics: you built the graphics, not just the timeline. - Pacing for VO-led evergreen formats. - Standards discipline: a written Edit Standards doc is the law. - Precise note execution. Room to grow The retainer is the floor, not the ceiling. Editors who prove they can handle our tech and fitness content open up more work across the network, and pay scales with the skill you show. The process 1. Apply by emailing your portfolio to hiring@midasmedia.ca with a short written note. Gaming work first; point out videos where you also built the graphics. Applications without the written note are not reviewed. 2. Shortlisted candidates get a paid test: one real video cut to our Edit Standards, fixed fee of USD 40, 3-day turnaround. 3. If the test lands, you start on the monthly retainer immediately. If it doesn't, you're paid for the test and we part clean. Compensation and logistics - Monthly retainer: USD 500 per month, fixed, covering up to 6 videos (edit plus graphics). - Paid test: USD 50, fixed, one video, before the retainer starts. - Contract role, fully remote (Philippines). Paid via Wise. - Start: ASAP. The channel is live and work begins immediately on hire.
