You will be working on a compelling project that involves analysing live football game video streams to recognise players and detect on-field events as they happen — such as ball kicks, goals scored, and other key match moments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in computer vision on AWS and a strong interest or background in sports. Key Responsibilities: Build and deploy real-time computer vision models to analyse live football video streams Develop player recognition and object detection pipelines to identify players and track ball movement on the field Detect and classify on-field events in real time (e.g. ball kicks, goals, fouls) Optimise models for low-latency, high-accuracy performance on streaming video Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions Manage and process large video datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline Communicate findings and model outputs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science workflows and best practices Qualifications: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Data Scientist role Demonstrated experience in computer vision (e.g. object detection, image classification, video analysis) Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modelling, and data analysis Experience with real-time or streaming video processing is a strong advantage Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modelling, and data analysis Interest in or prior experience within the sports or gambling industry is a strong advantage Tech Stack Requirements: Core Languages \& Environment: Python Jupyter Data \& ML Libraries: NumPy, Pandas PyTorch TensorFlow/Keras Scikit-learn Cloud \& Infrastructure: AWS SageMaker Computer Vision Libraries: YOLO (v5/v7/v8/v11\) Detectron2 MMDetection OpenCV TensorRT DeepStream (for streaming video) Hiring Process: Phone screening Technical Test Behavioral Interview Client Interview About Adaca: Adaca is at the forefront of bridging software development solutions by connecting Australian mid-tier companies with top-tier talents in the Philippines.
