Job Overview Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Investigator to identify and resolve denied, rejected, underpaid, unpaid, and aging medical claims. In this role, you will investigate root causes of claim issues, perform payer follow-ups, and document findings to prevent repeat revenue loss. This part-time position offers a steady schedule and an opportunity to make an immediate impact on revenue-cycle operations. Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST; Part-time, 20 work hours per week Responsibilities Investigate denied, rejected, underpaid, and aging claims. Determine the root cause and appropriate next action. Identify recurring payer or billing issues. Document findings clearly in Tebra. Recommend ways to prevent repeat revenue loss. Requirements Hands-on Tebra billing experience. Medical billing / revenue-cycle experience. Denial and A/R investigation experience. EOB/ERA review experience. Experience with appeals, corrected claims, and payer follow-up. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with outpatient physical therapy billing. Proficiency with WebPT. Proficiency with QuickBooks.
