About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with at least 2 years of professional experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric . The ideal candidate will have experience building modern data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and supporting enterprise analytics through reliable and efficient data architectures. This role will be responsible for developing and optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes while ensuring data quality, governance, and performance. The Data Engineer will work closely with Data Analysts, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted and scalable data solutions. Experience with Azure data services , Azure Databricks , and related cloud technologies is considered a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities 1. Data Engineering and Pipeline Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric. Build and manage data ingestion processes from various cloud, database, API, and flat file sources. Develop reusable and maintainable data transformation workflows. Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability. 2. Microsoft Fabric Development Develop and maintain Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Notebooks. Design and manage Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) where applicable. Support OneLake implementation and enterprise data integration. Monitor Fabric workloads and optimize resource utilization. 3. Data Modeling and Storage Design efficient data models to support reporting and analytics. Build and maintain dimensional and relational data structures. Ensure consistency, integrity, and quality of enterprise data assets. Implement partitioning, indexing, and performance optimization techniques where appropriate. 4. Data Integration Integrate data from SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms, SharePoint, ERP, CRM, and other business systems. Develop automated ingestion processes that reduce manual intervention. Troubleshoot data integration issues and resolve failures proactively. 5. Data Quality and Governance Implement validation and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Support enterprise data governance standards and best practices. Document data pipelines, source systems, and transformation logic. Maintain secure access to enterprise data following organizational policies. 6. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. Support deployment of new data solutions and enhancements. Recommend improvements to architecture, automation, and engineering practices. Stay updated on Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and modern data engineering technologies. Requirements · Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. · Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines. · Experience working with relational databases and SQL. · Experience developing data integration solutions in cloud environments. · Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. · Experience working with large datasets and optimizing data processing performance.
