Position Overview The Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and compliance functions of the company in the Philippines. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, timely and accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements. The position also plays a key strategic role in providing financial insights to support business decision-making and long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Management \& Operations Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), payroll, and asset management Lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal policies Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Financial Reporting \& Analysis Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes Prepare financial statements in compliance with PFRS and IFRS Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial forecasting Provide management with clear financial reports and strategic insights Taxation \& Regulatory Compliance Ensure full compliance with Philippine tax regulations, including VAT, withholding taxes, and income tax Oversee accurate preparation, filing, and remittance of BIR requirements Manage coordination with regulatory agencies such as BIR, SEC, LGUs, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Handle audits and act as primary liaison with external auditors and tax authorities Systems \& Process Improvement Maintain and optimize accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) to ensure accuracy and efficiency Drive automation and digitalization of accounting processes Ensure proper documentation and audit-ready financial records Payroll \& Government Compliance Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness Ensure proper processing and remittance of government-mandated benefits, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other statutory requirements Qualifications \& Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field CPA license is highly preferred but not required Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting At least 2–3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role Proven experience leading accounting teams and managing end-to-end accounting operations Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PFRS/IFRS) Extensive experience with Philippine tax compliance, including VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Tax, and BIR reporting Familiarity with the TRAIN Law, Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) Law, and other local regulatory requirements Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (QuickBooks Certification or ProAdvisor status is an advantage) Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Index-Match, and financial modeling Experience handling payroll and processing government-mandated contributions and benefits, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and related statutory filings and remittances Experience coordinating with government agencies such as BIR, SEC, LGUs, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent financial reporting and forecasting abilities Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and non-finance teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in process improvement, automation, and accounting system optimization Experience managing audits and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities Ability to develop and implement financial controls, policies, and SOPs Why Cliniqon?
