Job Description

About Equity Medical Equity Medical is a growing clinical research organization with multiple research sites across the United States. We conduct clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas and are rapidly expanding our digital marketing and patient recruitment efforts. We are looking for an experienced WordPress Web Developer / Website Manager to take ownership of ongoing website development, maintenance, landing page creation, optimization, and technical support. This is a hands-on role working closely with our internal marketing team. We are looking for someone who can independently execute requests, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements rather than requiring detailed technical direction for every task. Responsibilities Manage and maintain our existing WordPress website. Build new website pages and landing pages based on provided copy, branding, and creative direction. Update existing pages, content, images, navigation, forms, and site functionality. Create condition-specific and location-specific landing pages for clinical trial recruitment campaigns. Ensure pages are fully responsive and optimized for desktop and mobile. Troubleshoot WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, broken forms, formatting issues, and other website problems. Manage and update WordPress plugins and integrations. Improve website speed, performance, and overall user experience. Implement on-page and technical SEO recommendations. Create and update title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, schema, redirects, and other SEO elements as needed. Assist with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and other marketing/tracking integrations. Implement and test conversion tracking for website forms and landing pages. Connect website forms with CRM and marketing platforms as needed. Assist with domain, DNS, hosting, SSL, redirects, and other website-related technical needs. Maintain website security, backups, and general WordPress health. Identify technical or UX issues proactively and recommend solutions. Work with our marketing team on new website initiatives as the company grows. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience. Strong experience building and modifying WordPress websites. Experience with common WordPress page builders and themes. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript and PHP. Strong understanding of responsive/mobile-first website development. Experience troubleshooting WordPress plugins, themes, and integrations. Experience with website forms and CRM integrations. Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. Understanding of technical and on-page SEO. Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests. Strong attention to detail. Strong written English communication skills. Reliable internet connection and ability to communicate consistently with a U.S.-based team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following is a plus: Healthcare, clinical research, or other regulated industries. Multi-location businesses. High-converting marketing landing pages. Google Search Console. Google Ads and Meta Ads conversion tracking. CRM integrations, particularly Salesforce. Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms. API/webhook integrations. HIPAA-conscious website practices. Website accessibility and ADA/WCAG best practices. Local SEO. Core Web Vitals and website performance optimization. What We're Looking For We are specifically looking for someone who can own the website function, not simply wait for step-by-step development instructions. For example, our marketing team may request a new clinical trial landing page and provide the study information, desired messaging, branding, and examples. We expect our developer to be able to build, format, optimize, test, and publish the page while identifying any technical or UX considerations we may have missed. You should be comfortable researching solutions independently, making recommendations, and communicating clearly when there are multiple ways to approach a request. Schedule & Working Relationship Independent contractor. Remote position based in the Philippines. Initially part-time / ongoing. Consistent weekly availability required. Some overlap with U.S. business hours required for meetings and communication. Opportunity for the role and hours to expand as Equity Medical continues to grow. Please do not apply without examples of previous WordPress work.
