Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in our finance team, working closely with the Controller to manage financial operations and reporting. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical tasks that contribute to the smooth functioning of our accounting processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the entire AP workflow Generate and maintain accurate AP reports such as but not limited to aging report, statement reconciliation report, etc. Creating and maintaining vendor reports 2. Expense Management: Manage expense card reporting Enter and process expense transactions Prepare weekly check-run proposals 3. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple states Handle additional tax filings and reporting as required 4. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements Streamline month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures 5. Administrative Support: Perform various administrative and clerical duties as assigned Requirements 2 years total AP experience with US AP process experience preferred Multi-Task: Responds and reacts to a variety of different critical issues simultaneously Accounts Analysis: Conducts an in-depth analysis of the client’s accounts and determine the appropriate course of action Problem Analysis / Resolution/ Negotiation: Gathers information necessary to make decisions; anticipates, identifies, eliminates and resolves problems in a timely manner Communication Skills: Courteously responds to callers and handles client meetings professionally Teamwork: Partners with external and internal clients; contributes and exchanges knowledge and skills to meet client needs and goals; participates in resolving issues Relationships: Successfully communicates with individuals at all levels of an organization.
