Senior Automation Engineer Engagement: Full-time, Remote Level: Senior – able to architect and own the automation stack end-to-end Reports To: Founder About The Role We run an AI admin platform for trade and contracting businesses—a multi-tenant SaaS solution where a "crew" of AI agents handles reception, invoicing, compliance, and back-office administration on behalf of each client business. We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to take ownership of the automation backbone: building it, maintaining it, onboarding customers onto it, and helping shape its future direction. This is a build-and-own role, not a ticket-taking role. We want someone who can be given a goal and trusted to architect and deliver a robust, tenant-aware solution independently. Key Responsibilities Develop and build automations, workflows, and integrations across the platform. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across the stack to ensure reliable platform performance. Onboard new customers onto the platform, including configuration, workflow setup, and AI agent implementation. Contribute to broader software development initiatives beyond automation. Help shape strategy around software and tooling, including what we build, adopt, and scale. Engineer for reliability through robust error handling, monitoring, deduplication, and accurate timezone management. Technologies and Platforms You will work extensively with the following tools and platforms: AI \& Automation Claude (Anthropic API) – Central to our platform. Deep, hands-on proficiency with Claude is essential, including prompt design, tool usage, structured outputs, and building reliable AI agents. n8n – Complex multi-branch workflows, custom function nodes, and robust error handling. Make.com Data \& Workflow Management Airtable – Schema design, automations, API integrations, and multi-tenant configurations. Infrastructure \& Deployment Railway – Deployment and hosting. Communications \& Integrations Telnyx – Telephony and voice infrastructure. HubSpot – CRM integration. Xero – Accounting integration. Google Workspace \& Gmail – Integration and workflow automation. Telegram Industry-Specific Platforms ServiceM8 Tradify simPRO Skills and ExperienceRequired Strong software engineering fundamentals, including web development. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience working with REST APIs and webhooks. Proven experience building solutions using the Claude / Anthropic API. Deep, demonstrable experience with n8n and Airtable. Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture. Ability to work independently, take ownership of problems, and architect solutions with minimal supervision. Strong written English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an asynchronous environment. Nice to Have Voice and telephony experience (Telnyx, Ultravox, WebRTC). Experience with RAG and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone). Python development experience. Familiarity with trades, field services, or SMB operations and the platforms commonly used in those industries, including ServiceM8, Tradify, and simPRO. Working Arrangement Full-time, remote position engaged through an Employer of Record (EOR) in the Philippines. We operate in Victoria, Australia on a 4-day, 10-hour work week. Candidates must be able to provide meaningful daily overlap with Australian Eastern Time (exact overlap hours to be confirmed). You will work directly with the Founder.
