Founded by a Filipino-born American looking to hire an experienced enthusiastic full-stack developer or equivalent work experience. Working hours are between 8 am - 5 pm EDT (U.S. / New York Timezone) Skills and Qualifications Infrastructure, Cloud \& DevOps Minimum 5\+ years of experience in Linux server administration, cloud infrastructure, and database management. Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on AWS . Experience architecting and managing containerized applications using Docker , Amazon ECS , and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) . Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads using AWS Fargate with both ECS and EKS. Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, VPC, IAM, Route 53, ALB/ELB, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda , and related services. Deep understanding of GitOps principles and modern deployment practices. Experience implementing GitOps workflows using FluxCD . Strong knowledge of Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment. Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and AWS resource provisioning. Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and similar automation tools. Strong understanding of networking, cloud architecture, security best practices, SSL/TLS, DNS, load balancing, and observability. Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing distributed systems in production environments. Database Administration \& Performance Extensive experience administering and optimizing databases including MySQL , PostgreSQL , and MongoDB . Strong understanding of database architecture, replication, backups, high availability, and disaster recovery. Proven ability to improve database performance through: Query optimization Index tuning Schema design improvements Connection pooling Database monitoring and capacity planning Replication and scaling strategies Experience analyzing slow queries and resolving performance bottlenecks in high-traffic applications. Systems \& Security In-depth knowledge of administering Linux servers and troubleshooting production issues. Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, reverse proxies, and load balancing. Experience implementing security best practices, access controls, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening. Ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure systems from concept to production. Professional Skills Can be self-reliant with very minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to visualize a proposed system and build it from the ground up. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and adapting to changing business requirements. Nice to Have Experience working with programming and scripting languages such as: JavaScript / TypeScript, Bash, Python, Go, and PHP Experience automating infrastructure, deployments, and operational workflows through scripting or software development. Experience building or supporting APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator. Experience operating high-volume SaaS, logistics, shipping, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms. Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Loki, or OpenTelemetry. Experience managing multi-environment Kubernetes deployments using GitOps methodologies. Familiarity with shipping and logistics APIs like USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Experience with cost optimization, performance tuning, and scaling cloud infrastructure in high-growth environments.
