Responsibilities Short-Form Video Editing: Edit Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts optimised for each platform — correct aspect ratios, pacing, and formatting included. Long-Form Video Editing: Produce full-length YouTube videos incorporating multiple clips, stills, b-roll, and scene transitions for sustained viewer engagement. Multi-Channel & Multi-Category Content: Create and edit content across multiple social channels and content categories, including music, comedy, and UGC-style content. Sound & Visual Effects: Apply music syncing, audio balancing, sound effects, colour grading, and visual treatments consistent with the brand's tone. Subtitles & Captions: Add accurate, well-styled captions and on-screen text across all short-form and long-form content. Cuts & Transitions: Use zoom in/out, smooth cuts, and creative transitions to maintain energy and engagement throughout each piece. Platform Formatting: Deliver all content correctly sized and formatted for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and full-length YouTube. Basic Publishing: Upload and schedule finished content to designated channels using provided copy and assets — no independent content strategy required. Requirements Proven Video Editing Portfolio: Demonstrated experience editing short-form and long-form video content; music or entertainment content is a strong advantage. (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED) Technical Editing Mastery: Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) including effects, captions, transitions, and audio treatment. Attention to Detail: Clean, precise edits with consistent quality and strong visual storytelling across all deliverables. Autonomous Delivery: Ability to interpret a creative brief, manage files, and meet turnaround times independently without constant supervision. Communication Skills: Strong written English for caption accuracy and clear communication with the client. AI-Powered Tools (Preferred): Experience leveraging AI-powered tools within the video production process to enhance creativity, efficiency, and content quality — including editing workflows, visual effects, captioning, content generation, and other emerging AI technologies.
