Amihan Solutions
Amihan Solutions provides recruitment and corporate back-office HR support, including full HR and back-office management for client entities establishing operations in the Philippines. We're engaging an experienced HR & Employee Relations Consultant on a part-time, retainer basis to mentor our HR team and strengthen how we handle contracts, discipline, separation, and compliance under Philippine labor law — for our own team and for the client entities whose HR we manage. This is a hands-on advisory role, not a training-course delivery role: you'll work real, live cases alongside our HR Team as they happen. Responsibilities Provide case consultation on real disciplinary and employee-relations matters as they arise Attend bi-monthly meetings to guide and review in overhauling all documents related to employee relations Review and sign off on standardized notice templates covering Just Causes (Art. 297), Authorized Causes (Art. 298), Disease (Art. 299), and Probationary Failure-to-Qualify (Art. 296) Review employment contracts, company policies, and employee handbook provisions from an employee relations and labor law perspective. Advise on practical judgment calls — when resignation-in-lieu of termination is appropriate, when garden leave applies, and when the 30-day notice requirement does or doesn't apply Provide on-call guidance for HR setup and compliance as new client entities establish PH operations Directly mentor Amihan's HR & Recruitment team on employee/labor relations fundamentals and case handling Keep Amihan informed of relevant DOLE issuances, jurisprudence, and Labor Code developments Proactively flag compliance risks across Amihan and the client entities under our HR management Qualifications Required Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in employee/labor relations, HR compliance, or labor law practice in the Philippines Strong working knowledge of the Labor Code of the Philippines (Arts. 296–299) and DOLE procedures, including the twin-notice rule and authorized-cause notice requirements Prior experience advising SMEs, recruitment agencies, or HR/back-office outsourcing operations Demonstrated experience handling end-to-end disciplinary processes, administrative investigations, and employee separation cases. Ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice while maintaining compliance with Philippine labor laws. Excellent written and verbal communication — able to translate legal requirements into plain-language guidance our team can apply directly Preferred CHRP®, CHRA, or an equivalent HR/labor relations certification Background as a labor law practitioner, independent HR consultant, or in-house ER/LR specialist Experience mentoring or coaching HR practitioners, not just producing documents Familiarity with multi-entity HR operations, given Amihan's role managing HR for several client entities Experience supporting foreign-owned companies or multinational organizations establishing operations in the Philippines. Experience with HR outsourcing, Employer of Record (EOR) or shared services environments. Experience representing employers in NLRC or DOLE proceedings is an advantage.
