What You'll Do in the Role Leadership \& Resource Management Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 14 drafting resources (including 2 AU-based drafters), fostering a culture of high performance and hard work. Workflow Optimization: Allocate drafting resources effectively, manage project priorities, and ensure the team meets all strict delivery timelines. Hands-on Contribution: Maintain an active, hands-on role in the drafting process when required, setting the technical standard for the team. Commercial \& Financial Management Budget Accountability: Manage and monitor drafting hours against project allowances to ensure profitability. Variation Management: Identify scope creep, confidently push back on unauthorized variations, and ensure all changes are commercially accounted for. Business Performance: Align drafting outcomes with overall business performance, understanding the direct impact of drafting efficiency on the company’s bottom line. Stakeholder Communication Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central bridge between drafting and the wider business, collaborating closely with Project Managers, Production, Estimating, and Operations. Internal Advocacy: Confidently speak up, present to the team, and communicate project statuses, roadblocks, and solutions clearly across the business. Skills /Qualifications Technical Mastery: Expertise in technical drafting with a proven track record of delivering flawless, accurate project outputs. Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and the commercial realities of project delivery. Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and managing a drafting team. We value capability, drive, and impact over a specific "years of experience" metric.
