The Role: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely semi-monthly payroll for multiple U.S.-based companies while providing day-to-day support for accounts payable operations. This role ensures payroll accuracy, maintains employee payroll records, assists with payroll compliance activities, and supports vendor payment processing through Acumatica ERP. The position also collaborates with HR and Finance teams to support employee benefits administration, reporting requirements, and payroll-related inquiries. Location: Must be in Philippines – Remote. Timezone: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (11:00 PM – 8:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays Employment Type : Full time Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related course Experience: Minimum of 3 years of US payroll experience Strong understanding of US payroll laws Very detail-oriented (accuracy is critical) Fast learner with new systems Nice to Have Paylocity or similar payroll system experience Acumatica ERP experience Payroll certification (CPP) Prevailing wage experience (can be trained) Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process semi-monthly payroll for two U.S.-based companies with approximately 53 employees combined. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and payroll deductions. Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and assist with payroll requests. Generate payroll reports and provide payroll-related support to HR and Finance leadership. Payroll Compliance Assist with payroll compliance activities, including prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting (training provided). Support accurate recordkeeping and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations and company policies. Accounts Payable Support Enter, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely using Acumatica ERP. Prepare and manage vendor payments in accordance with company payment schedules. Assist with accounts payable reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed. Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation. Benefits and Reporting Support Assist with 401(k) administration activities, including report generation and employee-related requests. Support HR and Finance teams with payroll, benefits, and compliance reporting requirements. Perform other payroll, accounts payable, and administrative duties as assigned.
