Architecture Understanding: Strong understanding of how frontend, backend, and databases work together within modern applications. Development Discipline: Ability to follow established architecture and coding standards while contributing to long-term product stability. AI-Assisted Development: Experience using AI tools to accelerate development, generate solutions, and improve productivity while maintaining code quality through testing and validation. Security Awareness: Understanding of secure software development principles and system architecture. What You'll Be Doing: Product Development Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain features for our proprietary SaaS platform serving field service businesses across North America. Full-Stack Collaboration: Work across frontend, backend, and database layers while maintaining consistency with the existing system architecture. AI-Augmented Development: Effectively utilize AI agents and modern development tools to increase development speed while ensuring reliability and code quality. Code Quality: Review, test, validate, and optimize code to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability. Security \& Reliability: Follow secure development practices and contribute to the overall stability of the platform. Team Collaboration Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with operations teams, leadership, and fellow developers to translate business needs into software solutions. Problem Solving: Investigate technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies, AI development workflows, and best practices to continuously improve development processes. Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Tech Stack Frontend: Vue.js Backend: Django Database: Relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server is a strong advantage) Additional Advantage: Experience with cloud infrastructure, hardware integrations, or field service software platforms.
