Key Responsibilities Book Advertisement Copywriting: Write engaging and market-oriented promotional copy for web novels, to be used with images or videos on social media platforms. Content Editing & Proofreading: Proofread and edit English content to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, emotional clarity, and consistency with platform standards. Manuscript Review & Basic Feedback: Review manuscripts and provide clear, practical editorial feedback focused on readability, pacing, and story clarity. Author Communication & Coordination: Communicate with authors in a professional, patient, and empathetic manner, helping them improve story structure, pacing, and reader appeal. Content Team Collaboration: Work closely with other editors and content team members on content strategy, optimization, and special projects. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular content checks and audits to maintain editorial quality and uphold platform guidelines. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above (any field) Native or near-native English proficiency (MUST) Relevant experience in working with webnovels (such as being an author, acquisition editor, translator, story content reviewer, and/or proofreader) (MUST) Must be familiar with web novels and online fiction platforms (MUST) Good sensitivity to language, narrative flow, and emotional tone Solid editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail Patience, empathy, and responsibility when working with authors Good communication skills and willingness to learn Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Based in the Philippines (MUST) AUTHOR BACKGROUND Priority will be given to authors from our platform (Hopwriter). WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time PH-based position 9:00-18:00 (GMT+8) Monday to Friday
