The Role As our Quality Assurance & Cybersecurity, you'll own the software testing process from feature completion through production readiness. You'll work closely with developers to identify issues early, coordinate bug resolution, improve testing processes, and help maintain the security of our applications and infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has a strong eye for detail, and wants to make a meaningful impact on product quality and security. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance Validate new features and enhancements in staging environments before production releases. Review completed work against functional requirements and expected user experience. Perform manual, exploratory, regression, and release testing across web applications and APIs. Design and execute test cases that cover standard workflows, edge cases, and failure scenarios. Conduct stress, load, and reliability testing to identify performance bottlenecks. Document, prioritize, and track bugs through resolution. Coordinate with developers to ensure issues are assigned, addressed, and properly validated. Verify bug fixes before deployment and support release readiness. Improve automated testing, testing documentation, and quality assurance processes. Identify recurring defects and recommend process improvements to reduce future issues. Cybersecurity Monitor applications for potential security risks and unusual system behavior. Perform basic vulnerability assessments and security reviews of web applications. Validate authentication, authorization, and user access controls. Assist in identifying and reporting security vulnerabilities before production releases. Help ensure secure handling of credentials, API keys, and sensitive information. Review third-party packages and dependencies for known vulnerabilities. Support the implementation of secure development and deployment practices. Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and post-release reviews when needed. Promote security awareness and best practices within the engineering team. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Approximately 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, QA Automation, Application Security, or a similar role. Experience testing modern web applications and REST APIs. Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional engineering team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar) API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia Performance and load testing tools Python or TypeScript scripting for test automation Docker and containerized development environments CI/CD pipelines and release workflows PostgreSQL or Supabase GitHub Pull Requests and code review processes OWASP Top 10 and secure software development practices Vulnerability scanning or basic penetration testing tools Cloud platforms such as Railway, Vercel, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Why Join Source One?
