In this position, you will transform customer requirements into dependable implementations on the Quark platform: system configurations, REST API integrations, webhook implementations, SSO/SAML authentication, XML/XSLT transformations, data migrations, and workflow automation. This work is technical, customer-engaged, and results-driven. A compelling demonstration is insufficient. The delivered solution must function under real-world conditions, satisfy acceptance criteria, and be documented clearly enough for others to maintain. AI is integral to execution. You will leverage tools such as Cursor or Claude Code to accelerate delivery, and you will develop practical AI agents, Skill files, or comparable automation assets that eliminate repetitive effort. As you progress, your influence will expand from completing individual implementations to establishing reusable delivery frameworks that accelerate and strengthen future customer deployments. What You Will Be Doing Convert customer requirements into actionable implementation plans, acceptance criteria, and scoped delivery tasks Set up Quark workflows, structured content models, business rules, integrations, and connections to external data sources Develop and validate REST API integrations, webhooks, SSO/SAML authentication, XML/XSLT transforms, migration scripts, and automation deliverables Troubleshoot implementation issues by examining logs, payloads, authentication sequences, transforms, and configuration interdependencies Produce clear runbooks, handover documentation, and walkthroughs that enable customers to operate the implemented solution What You Won’t Be Doing Developing unrelated core product capabilities with no direct connection to customer implementation objectives Executing against vague tickets without first clarifying requirements, constraints, and success criteria Deploying temporary fixes without conducting root-cause analysis, validation, and creating reusable documentation Delivering generic training materials that leave customers reliant on undocumented institutional knowledge Delaying customer feedback for weeks while attempting to perfect a solution instead of demonstrating tested, functional progress Application Integration Engineer Key Responsibilities Deliver dependable Quark customer implementations that integrate systems, content workflows, and users to produce measurable customer value. Basic Requirements At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering, systems integration, implementation, or technical consulting experience Experience building or troubleshooting REST API and webhook integrations Working knowledge of authentication concepts such as SSO or SAML Practical proficiency with XML and XSLT or an equivalent structured-data transformation technology Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for migration, automation, or workflow implementation Regular practical use of AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor Experience building at least one useful AI agent, Skill file, agent definition, or equivalent automation artifact Fluent written and spoken English for customer discovery, requirements clarification, and technical handover Availability for at least 4 hours per day overlapping customer business hours in Europe and the US Nice-to-have Requirements Experience with content management, publishing platforms, or structured content workflows Experience creating customer-facing technical documentation, runbooks, or implementation handover materials Experience converting ambiguous customer requirements into end-to-end integrations, migrations, or workflow automations About Quark Working with us Crossover is a private recruiter for ESW Capital’s portfolio of global enterprise software companies and AI-first organizations, hiring top talent from around the world.
