This role is best suited for agency-trained professionals who thrive in structured environments, value measurable outcomes, and prefer clear expectations over ambiguity. • YOU’RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE • 1.5–2+ years of recruitment experience within an agency, focusing on the general insurance sector • Experience in managing mid to senior-level positions across various general insurance functions • Strong communication skills with stakeholders, ensuring effective candidate and client interaction • Proficiency in maintaining CRM discipline and managing candidate pipelines • STRONG SIGNALS • Proven recruitment experience within general insurance (house, motor, or similar lines). • Established network within the general insurance industry (e.g., brokers, underwriters, claims professionals) • Demonstrated hiring across niche portfolios such as Claims, Underwriting, or Corporate Risk. • Strong understanding of role distinctions (e.g., underwriter vs broker vs claims) and how they map to business functions. • High proficiency in navigating regulatory and compliance considerations specific to general insurance recruitment. • RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS • Candidate Attraction & Sourcing You own the discovery phase of the recruitment cycle, ensuring the agency has immediate access to top-tier general insurance talent. • Execute proactive headhunting and sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates in the financial sector. • Develop factual, high-impact job advertisements that filter for specific technical qualifications. • Maintain a "Ready-Now" talent map for recurring general insurance and superannuation roles. • Screening & Technical Assessment • You are accountable for the quality of the shortlist, ensuring only vetted, high-capability candidates reach the client. • Conduct detailed screening interviews to assess technical fit for roles like broking or underwriting. • Verify professional qualifications and execute reference checks according to industry standards. • Align candidate expectations with client reality regarding shifts, salary, and work setup. • Process Governance & Compliance • You transform daily recruitment activities into clean, audit-ready records that protect agency and client interests. • Maintain strict CRM discipline, ensuring all candidate interactions and stages are documented in real-time. • Liaise with consultants to advise on market trends and manage interview logistics. • Ensure all candidates meet mandatory compliance requirements before placement or submission. • ABOUT THE CLIENT • An Australian-owned, multi-specialist recruitment firm, this organization delivers comprehensive workforce solutions and talent acquisition strategies for the infrastructure, manufacturing, and insurance sectors.
