About Us We are a growing UK construction company specialising in residential extensions, renovations and refurbishments. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Virtual Quantity Surveyor to support our team with estimating, procurement, project planning and commercial management. Responsibilities Prepare quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings. Produce cost estimates and budgets for residential projects. Prepare detailed project schedules and programmes of works. Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring works are planned efficiently and key milestones are met. Request and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations. Assist with preparing tender documents and pricing schedules. Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts. Maintain accurate project cost records and spreadsheets. Liaise with the UK team to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule. Provide general commercial support throughout each project. Requirements Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field. Demonstrable UK construction experience is essential. Experience working on UK residential extensions, renovations and refurbishments. Ability to prepare project schedules and programmes of works. Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills. Strong written and spoken English. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Able to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects. Desirable Experience with estimating or construction management software (e.g. Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Buildertrend or similar).
