About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tax Accountant and Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, contribute to business objectives, and deliver exceptional client service. Responsibilities Prepare financial statements and Australian income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals. Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS), PAYG submissions, and other tax compliance obligations under the Australian taxation system. Assist in managing financial accounting and reporting activities for entities, including preparing financial statements and completing payroll-related tasks. Perform bookkeeping tasks for various clients using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB. Collaborate with the accounting and bookkeeping team to achieve client outcomes. Maintain accuracy and compliance across all tasks while providing proactive support to clients and team members. Requirements Preferred Skills And Experience At least 1-2 years of combined experience in accounting and tax-related roles Strong preference for experience with the Australian taxation system, including preparing Australian income tax returns, BASs and IASs. Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB. Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
