Job Description Department: Operations Employment Type: Project-Based | 3-Month Contract with Possible Extension Work Setup: 100% Remote Experience: Minimum 3 Years Industry: IT / Software Solutions About The Role We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Consultant – Accounting & CRM Solutions to join our project team on a 3-month, fully remote contract, with the possibility of extension. This is a hands-on QA role for someone who understands both software testing and accounting/business workflows. You will work closely with Developers and the project team to test and validate our accounting and CRM solutions, identify issues, verify fixes, and ensure the system meets agreed business, accounting, functional, and technical requirements before deployment. The project covers accounting and financial workflows, CRM functionality, APIs and integrations, webhooks, event-driven processes, AI/LLM integrations, and multi-tenant environments. Your goal is simple: help us deliver a reliable, accurate, and deployment-ready solution while successfully completing the agreed Statement of Work (SOW). Key Responsibilities Review business requirements, accounting processes, CRM workflows, and system requirements. Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, checklists, and defect reports. Test accounting functionality including invoices, bills, payments, expenses, transactions, calculations, and financial reports. Validate financial data accuracy, imports/exports, field mappings, and system calculations. Test CRM functionality, workflows, integrations, permissions, and critical user journeys. Test backend services including APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, message queues, rate limits, and external integrations. Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, stress, and load testing as required. Test event-driven workflows, including asynchronous jobs, background workers, conditional triggers, race conditions, and failure handling. Test AI/LLM integrations, including timeouts, rate limits, unexpected responses, prompt injection, and failure scenarios. Verify multi-tenant data isolation between users, accounts, and workspaces. Identify, document, and prioritize bugs, accounting issues, and system defects with clear steps to reproduce. Work closely with Developers to investigate issues, retest fixes, and confirm successful resolution. Support UAT and final system validation before deployment. Work collaboratively with the project team to complete the agreed Statement of Work within the contract period. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in QA / Software Testing, preferably involving SaaS, CRM, ERP, accounting systems, or business software. Hands-on experience testing web applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, or SaaS solutions. Practical experience with QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, FreshBooks, Wave, or similar accounting platforms. Good understanding of accounting processes, financial data validation, calculations, and business workflows. Experience testing APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, and system integrations. Experience creating structured test cases and clear, actionable defect reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to communicate and work effectively with Developers, business users, and project teams. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver within a project-based environment. Must have a reliable personal laptop and stable internet connection suitable for remote project work. Advantageous Experience Experience in any of the following would be an advantage: Postman, Jira, TestRail, or similar QA/testing tools Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools End-to-end test automation and CI/CD integration GCP / Google Cloud Platform Event-driven systems, asynchronous jobs, background workers, or message queues Multi-tenant SaaS systems and data isolation AI/LLM integration testing CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Monday.com, or Airtable Agile/Scrum environments Databases and test automation What You’ll Need This is a 100% remote, project-based position, so we're looking for someone who can take ownership of their testing responsibilities while collaborating closely with the wider project team.
