Staff Accountant – Property Accounting (Track Experience Required) Overview We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Ximplifi team. This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States. This role is specifically focused on supporting property management and short-term rental (“STR”) clients . Previous hands-on experience with Track Property Management Software (Track PMS) is required. You'll use your accounting knowledge and Track expertise to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Please Note: This position requires previous, hands-on experience with Track Property Management Software. Candidates without Track experience will not be considered. What You'll Do Client Support & Communication Support a portfolio of short-term property management clients with day-to-day accounting needs. Build strong client relationships through responsive, professional communication. Assist in answering client accounting questions and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with Senior Accountants and Managers to ensure excellent client service. Property Accounting & Financial Operations Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Perform bank, credit card, trust account, and balance sheet reconciliations. Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed. Prepare owner statements and assist with owner distributions. Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with trust accounting requirements. · Research and resolve accounting discrepancies. Assist with accounting cleanup projects and reconciliations. Track Property Management Software Utilize Track Property Management Software (TrackPMS) daily to manage client accounting. Maintain property, owner, guest and trust accounting records within Track. Process transactions, reconciliations, disbursements and financial reporting in Track. Assist with troubleshooting accounting discrepancies and system-related issues. Support client onboarding and data migration into Track when needed. Quality & Process Ensure all work is accurate, organized, and completed on schedule. Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and efficiencies. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality client deliverables. Technology & Systems Utilize Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Ramp, Expensify, Microsoft Excel, Karbon, Asana, and other cloud-based accounting platforms. Adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving client needs. Work effectively in a fully remote environment using collaboration and project management tools. What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–4+ years of accounting experience. Hands-on experience using Track Property Management Software is required. Experience with property management or short-term rental accounting. Experience performing account reconciliations and preparing financial statements. Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment. Preferred Experience with trust accounting and trust account reconciliations. Experience working in an outsourced accounting or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment. Experience supporting U.S.-based property management companies. Familiarity with Sage Intacct and other cloud-based accounting platforms.
