PATENT ASSISTANT (Project-Based On call) Position: Patent Assistant Department: Legal Reports To: CEO Location: Remote – Philippines Employment Type: Project-Based On call Schedule Depending on the business needs Working Hours: Flexible Job Summary Specialist in intellectual property, trademarks, design rights, copyright laws and patents. Represents inventors or companies in the patent application process, assist with patent infringement and act as litigators to protect their client’s rights to an invention. Key Responsibilities · Provide legal advice on valuable intellectual property rights such as patents,technical data, trade secrets, licenses, copyrights and trademarks. · Conduct legal, technical and scientific research and gather evidence. · Explain, clarify and simplify complex technical information. · Offer legal representation to clients in court proceedings on intellectual propertymatters. · Provide protection of the client’s intellectual property by securing intellectualproperty rights and patent protection. · Provide advice and assistance on all matters relating to invention management andpreparing patent applications on inventions. Qualifications We are looking to hire a patent lawyer with incredible communication skills and the ability to explain, clarify and simplify complex technical information. Someone with outstanding research and analytical skills. This candidate will display a deep understanding of an invention and its technical aspects with the ability to articulate this information in a clear and concise manner.Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent assets, developing patent strategies and conducting associated patent analysis, due diligence, transactions and licensing.
