Job Description

Help take an award-winning Australian architecture practice national We are an established, award-winning Australian architecture practice with ambitious plans for national growth. We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to take ownership of our marketing function and help strengthen our presence across Australia. This is a remote role for a capable self-starter who takes pride in producing high-quality work, follows through on commitments and wants to contribute to the long-term growth of a respected architectural practice. Please read this before applying This is primarily a brand, content, awards, tenders and communications role . It is not a paid advertising, performance marketing, SEO, lead-generation, virtual assistant or general administration position. We do not focus on Google Ads, Meta campaigns, sales funnels, media buying or paid social media. We need an accomplished writer and marketing professional who can: Develop compelling project case studies and brand stories. Prepare architectural award submissions. Contribute to tenders, proposals and capability statements. Maintain a consistent and professional brand voice. Manage marketing initiatives from initial planning through to completion. You will take genuine ownership of the marketing function rather than provide general administrative support. About the practice We design places that communities rely upon, including community facilities, early-years centres, civic and heritage buildings, health facilities, sporting facilities and social housing. Our work is guided by a commitment to creating practical, sustainable and people-centred places where communities can thrive. Over many years, our projects have received significant industry recognition. We are now strengthening our presence beyond our established markets and expanding into other Australian states and territories. Marketing will play an important role in communicating our experience, building our reputation and supporting this national growth. The opportunity This is not a routine marketing coordination position. You will lead the marketing function that communicates our story, strengthens our reputation in new markets and supports the proposals that help us secure meaningful new work. Working directly with the Directors and senior team, you will manage your area from planning through to delivery. You will have the opportunity to see the practical impact of your work as the practice expands nationally. This role will suit someone seeking ownership, professional scope and the opportunity to grow with an established practice entering its next stage. What you will manage Our brand Apply our Mission, Vision, Values and Positioning consistently across all marketing material. Maintain a clear, professional and recognisable brand voice. Review published material for quality, accuracy and brand consistency. Maintain marketing templates, brand assets and supporting resources. Content and reputation Write and edit project case studies, articles, publications, website content and LinkedIn posts. Translate architectural and technical information into clear and engaging stories. Develop content that demonstrates our experience, design approach and community impact. Maintain a structured content calendar and publication program. Awards, tenders and proposals Research and manage suitable architectural and industry award opportunities. Prepare award submissions from initial planning through to final lodgement. Support tender, proposal, capability statement and expression-of-interest content. Coordinate inputs from Directors, architects and project teams. Manage submission requirements and deadlines carefully. National market presence Support the practice as it develops its profile in new Australian markets. Research relevant market sectors, organisations, publications and industry opportunities. Develop targeted content and communications for priority markets. Maintain records of relevant enquiries, relationships and emerging opportunities. This role supports business development through strong marketing and proposal content. It is not a sales or cold-calling position. Digital presence and reporting Manage our website content, LinkedIn presence and Google Business Profile. Monitor the consistency and accuracy of our online information. Report monthly against agreed marketing priorities and key performance indicators. Identify emerging issues, explain their significance and recommend practical responses. Who will thrive in this role You are likely to succeed in this role if you are: Proactive: You identify what needs to be done and take appropriate action. Organised and methodical: You plan your work carefully and maintain orderly records and files. Precise and dependable: You follow agreed processes, meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail. A strong finisher: You take responsibility for completing work, not simply starting it. Thoughtful: You apply sound judgement and understand when to work independently and when to seek input. Warm and collaborative: You care about your work, your colleagues and the communities our projects serve. Ambitious: You want to help build something meaningful and remain involved as it grows. The role provides significant autonomy, but autonomy comes with accountability. You will be expected to plan your workload, communicate progress and complete agreed priorities without requiring daily direction. What you will bring Excellent written English. You will write and edit public-facing content, and writing capability will be assessed as part of the recruitment process. At least 3 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably within professional services, architecture, property, engineering, design or the broader built environment. Demonstrated experience writing long-form content such as case studies, articles, award submissions, tenders or proposals. Experience coordinating submissions involving input from several contributors. Confidence using Canva or similar design tools, with a strong eye for clear, consistent and professional presentation. Experience using LinkedIn, website content management systems and email communication platforms. Strong organisational, proofreading and deadline-management skills. The ability to manage a marketing function remotely and provide clear progress reporting. Availability to work agreed core Australian Eastern Standard Time business hours. Reliable computer equipment and internet access. Residence in the Philippines and availability for a full-time, ongoing engagement. Experience in architectural awards, government tenders, professional-services proposals or built-environment marketing will be highly regarded. What we offer A full-time remote role with a respected and award-winning Australian architecture practice. Genuine ownership of the marketing function. Direct access to the Directors and senior members of the practice. The opportunity to contribute to a national expansion. Varied work across brand development, content, awards, proposals and communications. A professional environment that values initiative, care and high-quality work. The opportunity to develop with the practice over the long term. How To Apply Please follow all 3 application steps. Applications without writing samples will not be considered. Submit your current CV. Attach 2 substantial writing samples that you personally prepared. Suitable examples include a project case study, article, award submission, tender response or proposal. Provide a short written response describing one marketing initiative that you personally planned and completed. Explain what you did, what made the work successful and why you are proud of it.
