Responsibilities Analyze sales, market, pricing, distribution, inventory, and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, KPI metrics, and market intelligence using internal and syndicated data sources. Conduct competitive, category, and post-promotional analysis to support sales planning and business decisions. Develop customer-facing and executive presentations with actionable insights and recommendations. Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to validate data, resolve reporting issues, and support strategic initiatives. Ensure data accuracy, standardize reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement in analytics and reporting tools. Provide backup support for promotional administration and other assigned duties. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. 2 or more years of experience in business intelligence, sales analytics, category management, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or retail analytics are preferred. Self-motivated, organized, and productive. Effective at managing priorities and driving process improvements in fast-paced environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate data, challenge assumptions, and make sound business decisions. Able to identify root causes, resolve discrepancies, and develop practical, effective solutions. Applies critical thinking to distinguish facts from assumptions and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Able to interpret business information, technical procedures, and company policies. Prepares clear reports, presentations, and correspondence. Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required. Advanced Excel Skills Advanced proficiency in: Pivot Tables XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP Nested formulas SUMIFS Data validation Charts Large dataset reconciliation Able to combine, clean, validate, and analyze multiple data sources accurately and efficiently. IRI/Circana and Nielsen Expertise Demonstrated expertise using IRI/Circana and Nielsen syndicated data. Able to analyze sales performance, market share, distribution, velocity, pricing, promotional activity, competitive performance, and category trends. Able to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Able to use syndicated data for leadership presentations, customer reviews, category reviews, and strategic account planning. PowerPoint and Business Storytelling Able to independently create executive-ready and customer-facing presentations. Able to translate complex data into clear, concise, and visually compelling business stories. Able to communicate key findings, business implications, and recommended actions to technical and non-technical audiences. Business Intelligence and Analytical Skills Able to identify trends, performance drivers, gaps, opportunities, and risks across sales, distribution, pricing, category, and promotional data. Able to develop actionable recommendations instead of reporting results. Experience with Cognos, VIP, retailer portals, customer reporting platforms, or comparable business intelligence systems is preferred. Retail and CPG Analytics Knowledge Strong understanding of retail and CPG performance metrics, including: Dollar and unit sales Market share Distribution and ACV Velocity Pricing Promotional lift Assortment Year-over-year trends Able to evaluate retailer and category performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, distribution, productivity, and market share. Data Visualization and Reporting Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools. Ability to create effective data visualizations and present insights to non-technical audiences. Strong data validation, reconciliation, and quality control skills with a high attention to detail.
