Philippines — Remote Part-Time / On-Demand $25–$30 USD/hour Experience: 8–10+ years ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a highly experienced technical professional to help us evaluate senior-level engineering candidates. Our team handles candidate sourcing and initial screening. Your responsibility is the technical evaluation. Your job is to determine whether candidates genuinely possess the technical depth, production experience, problem-solving ability, and engineering judgment expected from senior professionals. You'll initially evaluate candidates for roles including: • Senior Software Developer • Senior DevOps Engineer • Senior WordPress Developer RESPONSIBILITIES • Review candidate resumes and technical backgrounds • Prepare role-specific technical questions and practical scenarios • Conduct approximately 45–60 minute technical interviews • Ask scenario-based and practical technical questions • Use deep follow-up questions to validate actual experience • Distinguish theoretical knowledge from hands-on production experience • Evaluate how candidates approach unfamiliar or ambiguous problems • Assess technical depth, architecture knowledge, debugging ability, and engineering judgment • Evaluate production experience and security/risk awareness • Assess ownership, initiative, communication, and professionalism • Identify weaknesses, inconsistencies, and potential hiring risks • Provide a concise written scorecard after every interview CANDIDATE SCORECARD Candidates will be evaluated on: • Technical Depth • Problem-Solving Ability • Production Experience • Architecture / System Thinking • Debugging Ability • Security & Risk Awareness • Technical Judgment • Ownership & Initiative • Communication • Overall Seniority Final recommendation: Strong Hire / Hire / Consider / No Hire QUALIFICATIONS • 8–10+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure, or related technical experience • Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer, Architect, Engineering Manager, or comparable role • Strong technical interviewing and candidate-evaluation skills • Previous involvement in engineering hiring strongly preferred • Broad technical knowledge across modern engineering environments • Ability to challenge senior candidates with meaningful follow-up questions • Strong understanding of real-world production environments • Excellent written and spoken English • Objective and consistent evaluation style • Ability to provide clear and actionable hiring recommendations This is an on-demand position.
