Position: Marketing Operations & Demand Generation Specialist Company: Virtual Technologies Group (VTG) Position Type: Full-time (one opening) Location: Remote — must maintain sufficient overlap with U.S. business hours Travel: Minimal (remote-first) Reports To: Sales & Marketing Leader; works under the strategic direction of the (fractional) Chief Marketing Officer Role Overview This role operates the systems and campaign-delivery machinery that moves approved marketing programs from audience selection through sales handoff and reporting. It is a hands-on specialist position for someone who is comfortable working inside marketing automation, CRM, data, and analytics tools and who can turn defined campaign plans into reliable, repeatable execution. It is central to VTG's sales-acceleration push and to proving cross-sell under Project Lighthouse — instrumenting the metrics that show what is working. Key Responsibilities Marketing Automation & Campaign Execution Build, schedule, QA, and deploy approved email campaigns, nurture sequences, landing-page workflows, and retargeting audiences. Maintain marketing-automation and CRM workflows, including segmentation, lead scoring, MQL-to-SQL routing, alerts, and exception handling. Support organic, paid, social, partner, and account-based campaigns by implementing approved audiences, assets, tracking, and channel requirements. Support ABM to VTG's concentrated, high-value accounts, where roughly half of revenue is held. Maintain a campaign calendar and document launch requirements, approvals, dependencies, and post-launch checks. Data, Reporting & Sales Handoff Maintain list quality, field accuracy, consent status, deduplication, enrichment, and outbound-data hygiene. Ensure a clean single-front-door lead flow — reliable routing and handoff to SDR and sales so buyers experience one company, not four. Build and maintain recurring reporting on lead volume, source, conversion, velocity, campaign performance, and pipeline contribution using agreed definitions. Instrument cross-sell measurement — attach rate, margin contribution, and retention — so cross-sell is proven, not assumed. Coordinate with SDR, sales, and revenue-operations stakeholders to resolve routing failures, data exceptions, and follow-up gaps. Maintain documentation for funnel stages, campaign tracking, data standards, routing rules, and recurring reporting. Tools & Process Administration Administer assigned marketing technology and AI/SaaS tools within approved permissions, security requirements, and operating procedures. Support user setup, access reviews, basic troubleshooting, and documented adoption of approved marketing tools. Maintain repeatable campaign-build, QA, reporting, and handoff procedures as the marketing function matures. Role Boundaries Executes approved campaign plans; does not independently determine company strategy, audience priorities, offers, positioning, messaging, or channel investment. Does not own sales forecasting, funnel-stage definitions, lead-acceptance standards, or SDR follow-up performance; those decisions remain with VTG sales and marketing leadership. Does not approve budgets, customer claims, public-facing copy, or final creative. Minimum Qualifications Three or more years of hands-on experience in marketing operations, demand-generation operations, CRM administration, or a closely related B2B role. Demonstrated experience with at least one major CRM and marketing-automation platform, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or a comparable system. Working knowledge of email marketing, landing pages, campaign tracking, lead lifecycle management, data hygiene, and funnel reporting. Strong spreadsheet, QA, documentation, project-management, and problem-solving skills. Clear written and verbal English and sufficient overlap with U.S. business hours for collaboration, launches, and issue resolution. Ability to work independently from documented briefs, rules, and acceptance criteria while escalating ambiguity promptly. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting B2B technology, IT services, managed services, cybersecurity, or professional-services marketing. Experience working with SDR and sales teams on lead routing, follow-up, attribution, and pipeline reporting. Relevant platform certifications in CRM, marketing automation, analytics, or paid-media tools. Experience using approved AI tools to accelerate campaign operations, documentation, analysis, and QA.
