We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and detail-oriented Foundation Director to act as the sole operational and strategic hub for the Wheatland Health Foundation. This is a demanding, high-impact leadership role. You must be able to seamlessly transition between pitching a corporate sponsor, auditing a patient's financial hardship form, and managing the donor database. Core Responsibilities Fundraising & Development Revenue Generation: Research community grants, corporate giving programs, maintain a submission calendar, and write grant applications. Corporate Partnerships: Coordinate corporate sponsorship packages and send out impact reports to corporate donors. Donor & CRM Management: Manage the donor database (e.g., Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or Little Green Light), log contributions, and promptly issue official tax-deductible receipt letters. Operations & Governance Administration: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, maintain donor records, and keep board governance organized. Board Support: Coordinate board meetings, prepare agendas, take official minutes, and maintain permanent files for state and federal compliance. Grantmaking & Financial Compliance Application Intake & Auditing: Receive incoming patient hardship requests and scholarship applications. Perform detailed reviews of applicant financial hardship documentation to ensure grant criteria are met. Invoice Matching & Payable Support: Receive itemized invoices from service providers, verify them against approved grant voucher codes, and package them for the bookkeeper. Audit Readiness: Maintain strict records for external financial audits and annual Form 990 preparation. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 3-5+ years in non-profit management, healthcare administration, or development/fundraising. The "Unicorn" Skillset: A rare mix of charismatic, high-level strategic thinking (for donor pitches) and meticulous attention to detail (for compliance, data entry, and application auditing). Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of 501(c)(3) regulations, arm's-length transaction standards, and restricted fund accounting. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in non-profit CRM software and basic financial tracking tools.
