ABOUT YOU You hold the whole picture. Multiple projects, multiple clients, competing deadlines, and one shared team, and you know at any moment what is on track, what is at risk, and what needs a decision today. You are the person who says the difficult thing early. A scope that has quietly doubled, a deadline that was never realistic, a client expectation nobody has corrected. You raise it while it is still a conversation rather than a problem. You are protective of your team's time. You do not accept every request and pass it straight to a designer. You question, scope, and push back where it is warranted, then come back with something workable. You are organised in a way other people can rely on. Briefs are complete, tasks are assigned, dependencies are mapped, and nobody is sitting idle waiting for an answer you forgot to chase. You understand creative and digital work well enough to plan it properly. You know roughly what a landing page, a brand identity, or a 30 second animation actually takes, so your timelines survive contact with reality. You have worked in a startup, so you are used to running several things at once without a large team or a mature process behind you. Where the process is missing, you build it. You are comfortable in front of clients. You lead calls, keep them focused, capture actions, and follow up without prompting. You take ownership of outcomes. When a project slips, you are not looking for who to blame. You are already working out how to recover it. THIS ROLE IS NOT A GOOD FIT IF YOU Are a task administrator rather than a project owner Pass client requests straight through to the team without scoping or questioning them Wait until a deadline is missed to flag that it was at risk Avoid difficult conversations about scope, budget, or timelines Manage one project at a time and lose track when several run in parallel Need a process handed to you rather than building one where it is missing Prefer to sit in client meetings rather than lead them Cannot estimate creative or digital work with any accuracy Chase updates by asking the team the same question repeatedly instead of maintaining a system Go quiet when a project is off track Are looking for part-time, freelance, or project-based work Plan to hold this alongside another full-time role Want something temporary while you look for a permanent position Responsibilities Project ownership Own multiple concurrent creative and digital projects from brief through to delivery Scope work properly, including deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, and approval points Build realistic timelines with dependencies, buffers, and clear critical paths Break projects into tasks, assign them, and keep the board current and accurate Identify risks early and put a mitigation in place rather than reporting the risk and waiting Resourcing and capacity Plan resourcing across projects so the team is used well and not overloaded Track capacity and flag conflicts before they force a delay Coordinate across design, video, web, and content so handoffs are clean and nothing stalls Escalate resourcing shortfalls with options attached, not just the problem Scope, budget, and change control Monitor scope actively and manage change requests through a clear process Track hours or effort against estimate and flag overruns early Prepare and maintain project documentation including briefs, trackers, and change logs Support estimating and quoting for new work based on historical delivery data Client management Act as the day to day point of contact for assigned accounts Lead client calls with a clear agenda, and circulate minutes and actions afterwards Translate client requirements into clear, actionable briefs for the team Provide proactive progress updates covering status, blockers, and next steps Manage expectations directly and offer practical alternatives when a request is not viable Process and quality Run sprint or workflow ceremonies including planning, standups, and retrospectives Check deliverables against the approved brief before they go to the client Maintain organised, correctly named, and version controlled project files Improve delivery processes, templates, and documentation over time Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, information technology, multimedia arts, or a related field.
