Job Title: Amazon Operations & Analytics Specialist Employment Type: Part-Time Location: Fully Remote Rate: $8-9/hour Role Overview We are seeking a high-leverage, part-time Amazon Operations & Analytics Specialist to serve as the operational and financial backbone of our Amazon store. In this role, you will hold end-to-end backend ownership of our catalog, inventory, advertising campaigns, and profit margins. Because this is a dedicated part-time position, you will rely heavily on automated toolstacks like Sellerboard and Scale Insights to maximize operational efficiency, streamline daily workflows, and maintain peak store performance within flexible hours. You will be directly accountable for store profitability and account health rather than just basic task execution. Core Responsibilities 1. Full Catalog & Listing Management Manage, maintain, and optimize the product catalog within Seller Central efficiently. Create and update flat files, handle variation setups, and resolve listing suppressions or error codes (e.g., 5665, 8572). Oversee backend search terms, product attributes, and seasonal listing updates. Monitor account health regularly, taking swift action on policy warnings, IP claims, standard brand registry tasks, and Amazon case escalation. 2. Advertising & PPC Strategy (Scale Insights Automated) Set up, monitor, and scale Amazon Advertising campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Display). Leverage Scale Insights to automate bid adjustments, keyword harvesting, and negative targeting workflows, minimizing manual hourly maintenance. Establish campaign architectures that align with set TACoS/ACoS targets and monitor weekly ad efficiency. Routinely audit PPC performance to eliminate wasted spend and protect profit margins. 3. Inventory Planning & Logistics Review stock levels weekly to provide accurate restock forecasting and prevent stockouts or overstock surcharges. Generate FBA shipment creation workflows, assign FN-SKUs, and coordinate inbound shipment timing. Manage storage capacity limits, restock thresholds, and aged inventory proactively. 4. Financial Ownership & P&L Analytics Own weekly high-level margin checks and produce a streamlined monthly P&L report. Utilize Sellerboard to monitor real-time margins, COGS, Amazon fees, refunds, storage costs, and advertising spend. Spot margin leaks across SKUs and propose fast, actionable solutions to optimize net profitability. Conduct periodic audits for fee accuracy (e.g., dimensional audit disputes) to reclaim lost revenue. Required Tools & Platforms Sellerboard: Daily/monthly P&L tracking, expense allocation, and restock forecasting. Scale Insights: Mastery of automated PPC rule sets, campaign structure, and bid automation. Amazon Seller Central: Advanced proficiency across Inventory, Advertising, Brand Registry, and Case Management. Excel / Google Sheets: Efficient handling of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and concise financial reporting. Qualifications & Ideal Experience Ground-Up Experience: Demonstrated history of managing inventory, PPC, and financials for at least one Amazon store launch from scratch—not just maintaining mature, established accounts. Autonomous & Efficient: Ability to deliver high-impact results in a part-time structure by leveraging automation and clear prioritization. P&L Accountability: Proven experience managing profit and loss targets with direct ownership over store financial outcomes. Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Quick to identify patterns in data, troubleshoot catalog errors, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs). Educational Background Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent hands-on experience starting and scaling Amazon stores is valued higher than formal education. Ground-Up Experience & Industry Track Record 0-to-1 Brand Launch Experience (Essential): Proven track record of taking at least one Amazon store or new product line from inception to profitability. Must have direct experience navigating the initial launch phase—setting up catalogs from scratch, surviving early PPC inefficiency, establishing baseline TACoS, and scaling through zero-data scenarios. Bootstrapped & Scrappy Mindset: Experience building systems with lean resources and limited budgets, requiring direct accountability for every dollar spent on ads, inventory, and Amazon fees from Day 1. Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Demonstrated ability to handle the full lifecycle of an Amazon product, from initial flat-file creation and initial inventory inbound to establishing stable cash flow and profitability. Agency or Multi-Brand Experience: Experience launching or scaling multiple new brands concurrently, demonstrating strong time-management skills and rapid execution capability. Nice-to-Haves Brand Creation Exposure: Experience participating in initial brand registry setup, storefront design, and main image testing for unranked listings. Advanced Automation Expertise: Familiarity with Zapier, Make, or custom API integrations connecting Seller Central data with Google Sheets to keep manual launch maintenance low. External Launch Traffic: Exposure to using external traffic (TikTok Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Attribution) to kickstart initial sales velocity and organic keyword ranking for new listings. Reimbursement Audit Experience: Hands-on experience reclaiming launch capital through manual audits for lost inventory and incorrect dimensional fees.
