We are not trapped by a legacy structure primarily centered on paid advertising. Instead, we are liberated by a new world structure designed to deliver highly differentiated and highly effective communications strategies for our clients. Our new world model is comprised of 4 central “craft centers” or pillars – 1) Client Advice & Management, 2) Strategy, 3) Communications Design and 4) Partnerships. THE PARTNERSHIPS EXECUTIVE ROLE DISCIPLINE OVERVIEW: PARTNERSHIPS Initiative is building the most streamlined and integrated Partnerships teams in the industry. We do not operate in silos. As such, our best and brightest Partnerships leaders from both Traditional and Digital backgrounds are charged with leading the Partnerships teams and delivering on the following: Offline/traditional media (TV, radio, print, OOH, cinema) and Digital marketplace landscape experts internally and with clients Media partner evaluation, selection and recommendations leveraging strategic / consumer insights, marketplace insights, and Initiative’s proprietary partner selection data and toolsets Strategic partnership solutions, negotiation/go‐to-market strategies, and audience—focused strategies, designed to deliver on client objectives and KPI’s Innovation and emerging partner test opportunities to drive client KPI’s Support MAGNA aggregate negotiations across all digital media channels Support and facilitate IPG Mediabrands corporate, agency and external media initiatives Role Overview PARTNERSHIPS EXECUTIVE The Partnerships Executive is an entry level position within Initiative requiring an eager, proactive and energetic person who is interested in beginning a career in media. The Associate is an important position within the integrated investment process and supports the team as they build a go to market approach for as well as alternative offerings across offline and online platforms. This person should like working with numbers, have strong communication skills, work well in a team environment and have a level of curiosity that infects the entire team that works with you on campaigns. Responsibilities Client Assist Partnerships Managers with detailed media plan development Maintain client’s schedules (media plans) in accordance with their goals Responsible for the timely, accurate delivery of day to day requests from the team Responsiveness to client requests Internal Proactively seek out mentorship and learning from other Discipline leaders at Initiative (Strategy, Analytics, Communications Design, Client Advice) Learn key programs and media tools including Nielsen Arianna and master media math Assist in reporting and tracking budgets, savings and value, ensuring accuracy for internal team Assist in evaluating partner proposals Responsible for smooth running of day-to-day activities Stewardship Enter buys into tracking system and insure system reflects accurate buys Update buy summary documents Monitor network buys daily based on audience delivery data to insure delivery in flight Assist with traffic issues Integral in campaign set up and execution including order letters, specs, creative rotation and billing documentation Be responsible for billing discrepancies and produce resolutions Assist in actualizations with partners and final billing numbers Participate in analysis and post campaign summary of integrated programs Coordination and scheduling of partner and team meetings Compilation and distribution of conference reports from status meetings Participate in departmental projects as requested Integral in campaign set up and execution including insertion orders, specs and creative trackers Contribute in ideation team sessions in conjunction with the Strategy team and relevant SBUs to generate creative & compelling connections idea (e.g. MOS presentations; media amplifications, etc.) Internal brand expert Abreast with various digital innovations, advancements Knowledge of how e-commerce platforms work Meet several client demands Diligently responds to client emails and requests Able to build rapport easily with client (client go-to point person) Commercial Timely resolution of billing discrepancies Ensures and advocates for partner relationships New Business Support new business needs as required Prioritization 20% Client 66% Internal 20% Commercial Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s): - Client Responsiveness and accuracy on client maintenance communications planning solutions Positive client relationships; understands clients' business and challenges Media plan KPIs met - Internal Participates in agency and external personal growth & education initiatives Strong knowledge of buying mechanics - media math, tracking, posting Accurate maintenance of schedules (media plans) Fosters strong and positive internal relationships Adherence to / use of agency processes and tools - Commercial Align with billing timelines Ensures and advocates for agency partner relationships DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent with 1 to 2-year work experience. Fresh graduates are also welcome.
