Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office We are presenting an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Systems Developer II. In this role, you will work with advanced technologies, you'll develop and maintain applications that support our operations, with a focus on Web APIs and AI integration. You'll analyze business requirements, create technical specifications, write clean code, perform testing, and provide ongoing support for deployed solutions. As a team member, you'll participate in code reviews, resolve complex issues, and support other developers. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification Minimum 5 years of experience in systems development, or related roles. Major Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Node.js and related technologies. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and related technologies. Create and integrate Web APIs for various internal and external services. Work with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle, including database integration and query optimization. Implement and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software issues. Implement AI features and integrations in applications where applicable. Utilize JIRA for project management, task tracking, and sprint planning Manage code versions and collaborate with team members using Git. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Continuously improve software development processes and best practices Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development and cloud computing Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing initiatives Must Have skills: Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript. Familiarity with Java/Spring (Spring Boot) based applications. Experience with Web API development and consumption. Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle. Proficiency with Git version control system. Knowledge of AWS cloud platform and services. Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA for project management. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good to have skills: Familiarity with AI concepts and integration of AI technologies into applications. Knowledge of microservices architecture. Experience with test-driven development and automated testing. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Working Hours: India: 01:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST Philippines: 03:30 PM to 12:30 AM PHT
