Ezygos Global Services is looking for a Head of Quality Engineering to lead our quality engineering function and modernise how we test and release software. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can lead a team while still building automation frameworks, reviewing code, improving regression coverage, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to build a quality culture that scales through automation and AI-assisted testing. What You'll Do Own the QA strategy, roadmap, and quality objectives Lead, mentor, and grow the quality engineering team Build and maintain test automation frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js Develop automated coverage across API, integration, contract, UI, and end-to-end testing Improve regression coverage and reduce dependence on manual testing Integrate automated regression tests into CI/CD as merge and release gates Test applications and services in containerised environments Establish effective defect triage, root-cause analysis, and quality reporting Participate in design and code reviews to improve testability early Introduce and develop AI-assisted and agentic testing capabilities Communicate quality risks and release readiness to technical and non-technical stakeholders What We’re Looking For Strong experience in software testing or quality engineering Proven hands-on experience building or significantly improving automation frameworks Experience leading a QA, SDET, or quality engineering team Strong programming ability in TypeScript or JavaScript Experience testing Node.js services and React applications Strong understanding of risk-based testing and regression strategy Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Experience with Docker, containerised services, or temporary test environments Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills Exposure to AI-assisted testing or the technical aptitude to learn it quickly Technical Experience We Value TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and React Playwright or Cypress Jest, Vitest, Supertest, or Pact API, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar platforms Docker and Kubernetes AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Jira, observability, and quality-reporting tools Browser agents, computer-use agents, or LLM-assisted testing Appium or mobile automation is an advantage You do not need experience with every tool listed. We are looking for someone with strong technical depth, sound judgement, and the ability to choose the right testing approach for the problem.
