Our Grant Writer is responsible for researching, developing, writing, and submitting compelling grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, private foundations, corporations, and other funding organizations. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather program information, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and maintain strong relationships with funding partners. Our Grant Writer also supports grant reporting, documentation, and tracking to help achieve organizational funding goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals and programs. Prepare, write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents. Coordinate with internal departments to collect data, financial information, program outcomes, and other requirements for proposal development. Ensure all grant submissions comply with funding guidelines, deadlines, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a grants calendar and track submission timelines, reporting schedules, and funding statuses. Develop compelling narratives that clearly communicate organizational mission, programs, and impact. Prepare grant reports, progress updates, and renewal applications as required by funding agencies. Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of grant applications, awards, and correspondence. Collaborate with leadership and program teams to develop funding strategies and priorities. Monitor industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in grant writing and fundraising. Support other fundraising and development initiatives as needed. Minimum Qualification: Functional Competencies Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities. Proven ability to write persuasive and compelling proposals. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Knowledge of grant application processes, funding regulations, and reporting requirements. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and grant management tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills. Education and Work Background Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or related field. At least 2–5 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, proposal development, or related role. Proven track record of successfully securing grants or funding is an advantage. Experience working with nonprofit organizations, NGOs, educational institutions, or similar environments is preferred. Familiarity with donor relations and grant management processes is an advantage.
