PayMongo
About The Role As a Product Adoption and Growth Specialist , you will help PayMongo grow more value from the merchants already using our platform by increasing product adoption, usage, retention, and cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the existing merchant base. Unlike roles focused on acquiring new merchants, your focus will be entirely on growing existing merchants . You will design and execute targeted, data-driven campaigns that help merchants discover and adopt more of PayMongo’s products, use them more frequently, and stay active longer . You will own these commercial campaigns end-to-end—from identifying an opportunity and building the business case to segmentation, targeting, launch, performance tracking, and optimization. You will work closely with Marketing, Merchant Success, Account Management, Product, and Growth Operations to turn merchant engagement into measurable commercial outcomes. This role is suited to someone who combines growth or lifecycle marketing experience with strong commercial and analytical thinking and enjoys using customer data to identify opportunities and turn them into targeted growth initiatives. What You Will Do Design and Execute Merchant Growth Campaigns You will build targeted campaigns that encourage existing PayMongo merchants to adopt more products, increase usage, and deepen their relationship with PayMongo. You Will: Segment the existing merchant base using factors such as industry, tenure, product usage, transaction volume, and adoption gaps . Identify merchant cohorts that are under-adopting or underusing specific PayMongo products, features, or payment methods. Develop targeted campaigns around clear merchant needs and commercial opportunities. Own each campaign end-to-end—from concept and business case through targeting, launch, performance tracking, and optimization . Maintain a pipeline of merchant adoption and growth campaigns with clear target segments, objectives, and success metrics. Launch new initiatives on a rolling basis based on merchant opportunities and business priorities. Increase Product Adoption and Merchant Usage You will be accountable for turning campaigns into measurable changes in merchant behavior—not simply campaign engagement. You Will: Define product adoption, usage, retention, and revenue targets before launching each campaign. Monitor actual product usage and transaction behavior against campaign targets. Identify opportunities to increase adoption of underused PayMongo products and payment methods. Develop initiatives that encourage merchants to use PayMongo more frequently or adopt multiple products. Optimize campaigns while they are live based on merchant response and performance data. Focus campaign decisions on measurable improvements in product adoption, merchant activity, Gross Profit retention, and commercial value. Partner with Merchant Success and Account Management You will work closely with the teams that understand PayMongo’s merchants best, combining their account-level insights with merchant and product data to identify growth opportunities. You Will: Partner with Merchant Success, Account Management, and Growth Operations to identify merchants and segments with significant adoption, usage, or churn-risk gaps. Develop campaigns and offers tailored to specific industries and merchant cohorts. Equip Merchant Success and Account Management teams with campaign mechanics, merchant offers, talking points, and performance insights they can use in merchant conversations. Gather merchant and account insights that can inform future campaigns. Coordinate campaign calendars and account ownership to ensure outreach is aligned and relevant. Help turn merchant-facing teams into effective channels for product adoption and growth. Build Commercially Sound Campaigns and Offers You will make sure growth initiatives create meaningful commercial value for PayMongo while remaining compelling to merchants. You Will: Develop campaign mechanics, incentives, and promotional offers for existing merchants. Build simple business cases and financial models to assess potential campaign investment and returns. Evaluate initiatives against expected product adoption, Gross Profit retention, and merchant growth impact. Work with internal stakeholders to align on campaign objectives, timelines, ownership, and success measures. Maintain a prioritized pipeline of upcoming adoption and growth initiatives. Design targeted incentives carefully so campaigns drive incremental behavior without unnecessarily eroding margin. Measure, Learn, and Optimize You will use merchant behavior and campaign performance data to understand what is working, what is not, and where PayMongo should invest next. You Will: Track campaign performance and ROI against predefined targets. Analyze product usage trends, merchant behavior, and campaign conversion by cohort. Measure whether campaigns generate incremental adoption, transactions, and sustained product usage. Identify patterns behind low adoption, inactivity, or churn risk and develop targeted responses. Recommend changes to campaign targeting, offers, mechanics, or messaging based on performance. Produce clear, leadership-ready reports covering campaign results, commercial impact, and recommended next actions. Tools You Will Work With You will use a combination of CRM, merchant data, analytics, campaign, and financial modeling tools to identify opportunities, execute campaigns, and measure their commercial impact. These May Include: CRM and merchant success platforms – to segment merchants, identify target cohorts, coordinate merchant outreach, and manage campaign execution. Product usage and transaction dashboards – to identify adoption gaps and monitor merchant behavior before, during, and after campaigns. Campaign and email/CRM tools – to execute targeted merchant lifecycle and adoption campaigns. Business intelligence and reporting tools – to analyze merchant cohorts, campaign conversion, product adoption, and transaction performance. Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet tools – to build campaign business cases, financial models, trackers, and ROI analyses. Campaign planning and collaboration tools – to manage campaign pipelines, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables. You do not need to have worked with every specific platform, but you should be comfortable using CRM, campaign, analytics, and spreadsheet tools to turn merchant data into actionable growth initiatives. What We're Looking For We are looking for a growth and lifecycle marketing professional who combines strong campaign execution with analytical thinking and a clear commercial mindset. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly the ability to identify why adoption or usage is low and develop targeted, data-backed responses. A strong commercial mindset , with the ability to prioritize initiatives based on Gross Profit, adoption, retention, and overall business impact. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across Merchant Success, Sales or Account Management, Product, and other internal teams . Familiarity with payment products and methods such as cards, e-wallets, QR, and bank transfers . You do not need to come from a traditional sales background. This role is much closer to growth, lifecycle, retention, and CRM marketing than new-business acquisition. What matters most is your ability to use merchant data to identify growth opportunities, turn those opportunities into targeted campaigns, and demonstrate measurable improvements in adoption, usage, retention, and commercial value . What Success Looks Like Success in this role means helping PayMongo capture more value from merchants it has already acquired by turning targeted campaigns into sustained changes in merchant behavior.
