About The Role We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Field Support Specialist to provide real-time support to field installation teams throughout the solar project lifecycle. This role serves as the primary point of contact for installers during active installations and service appointments, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and projects stay on track. The ideal candidate has hands-on solar industry experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with installers, inspectors, utilities, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary support contact for field installers via phone, chat, and text. Provide real-time troubleshooting assistance during active solar installations and service appointments. Identify, document, and route project issues to the appropriate internal departments. Escalate complex, urgent, or high-risk issues to management when necessary. Monitor recurring issues, identify process gaps, and provide feedback to leadership. Collaborate with internal teams including Design, Engineering, Permitting, Scheduling, Funding, and Operations. Review failed inspections and create detailed scopes of work required for corrective actions. Communicate directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), inspectors, and utility companies to resolve inspection-related issues. Support project completion and ensure timely resolution of installation challenges. Maintain accurate records and updates within CRM and project management systems. Required Qualifications Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to field personnel and stakeholders. Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar platforms preferred). Working knowledge of residential or commercial solar installation processes. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, single-line diagrams, and solar plansets. Comfortable communicating with AHJs, inspectors, and utility representatives. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities. Preferred Qualifications 2\+ years of solar installation, field operations, or related solar industry experience. Experience troubleshooting: SolarEdge systems Tesla Energy products Enphase systems Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. Understanding of utility interconnection processes and permitting requirements. Experience with solar commissioning and provisioning platforms.
