Job Title: BIM Designer Department: Design, Manila Purpose of the Job: To support the design and delivery of interior projects through the creation and management of accurate, data-rich BIM models. The BIM Designer ensures that all design intent, technical detailing, and documentation are accurately translated into coordinated 3D models and drawing sets, aligned with company standards and project requirements. This role plays a critical part in enhancing design quality, improving coordination across disciplines, and contributing to the efficient and successful execution of high-end interior environments. Guidance and authority: The job holder is responsible for ensuring that models adhere to industry and project-specific standards. They collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to maintain coordination across disciplines. Their role includes identifying and resolving design clashes, as well as supporting construction sequencing, quantity take-offs, and 4D/5D modeling. While they provide technical guidance and play a key role in model development and coordination, BIM Designers report directly to the BIM Manager or BIM Coordinator. Quantitative dimensions of the role Supports the development and delivery of coordinated BIM models, ensuring 100% compliance with project-specific and industry standards within their discipline. Contributes to model accuracy, clash resolution, and data integration, with measurable outputs in modeling productivity, coordination efficiency, and adherence to Level of Development (LOD) requirements. Principal accountabilities Develop and maintain discipline-specific 3D models in accordance with project requirements and BIM Execution Plans (BEP). Ensure all modeling work complies with relevant project standards, BIM protocols, and Level of Development (LOD) expectations. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to maintain coordination and resolve design clashes or discrepancies. Perform clash detection and coordination tasks using tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360, and support issue resolution workflows. Produce accurate model-based deliverables, including drawings, schedules, quantity take-offs, and 4D/5D simulations as required. Integrate and manage BIM data, ensuring correct parameters and metadata are embedded for downstream use in construction and facilities management. Support construction sequencing and phasing plans, aligning models with project timelines and logistics. Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide updates on modeling progress, issues, and technical solutions. Report directly to the BIM Manager or BIM Coordinator, following guidance and contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and standards. Perform CAD Drawings as needed to support project requirements Knowledge, experience and skills to perform the role: Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dynamo, and BIM 360 / ACC Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols Experience working in a BIM environment across design and/or construction phase Knowledge of construction processes and building systems relevant to their discipline (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.) Experience Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling within interior, architecture, or MEP disciplines Preferred Experience Experience working on large-scale or complex projects, such as commercial, healthcare, infrastructure, or industrial developments. Proven experience in using Autodesk Revit for detailed modeling and documentation. Familiarity with clash detection and coordination processes using tools like Navisworks Manage or BIM 360 Coordinate. Experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) and following a BIM Execution Plan (BEP). Exposure to multi-disciplinary coordination workflows, preferably in a collaborative or integrated project delivery (IPD) environment. Understanding of construction sequencing (4D) and quantity take-offs or cost estimation (5D) from model. Remote Work Requirements: Must be online in sync with the Manila team, and Dubai team if required. Reliable DSL/Cable connection (Wimax, Canopy, Dongles, etc., are not allowed). A decent headset and webcam for clear communication. Comfortable using MS Teams or Zoom for meetings and collaboration.
