Job Purpose The Quality Assurance Lead – Interactive Ads is responsible for leading the quality assurance function for all interactive advertising deliverables, ensuring that every asset meets HPL's standards for both visual excellence and functional performance before client submission. This role serves as the final quality gate for Mobile Interactive Playables (MIPs), Standard Interactive Playables (SIPs), Playable Ads, and other interactive digital experiences. The QA Lead establishes quality standards, performs comprehensive quality reviews, drives continuous process improvements, and collaborates closely with designers, developers, project managers, and operations to deliver client-ready assets. As the QA function expands, this role will also provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to other QA team members while maintaining accountability for overall quality performance. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Quality Assurance Own the overall quality assurance process for all assigned interactive advertising projects. Perform comprehensive reviews covering both visual quality and functional performance. Serve as the final quality approval before client submission. Ensure quality standards are consistently applied across all projects. 2. Visual Quality Assurance Review assets to ensure they meet creative and design standards by validating: Layout and composition Typography Color consistency Branding compliance UI/UX consistency Asset placement and alignment Image quality Animation quality and transitions Design consistency across screens Compliance with approved creative briefs and client guidelines 3. Functional Quality Assurance Validate that all interactive assets function correctly by testing: Buttons and navigation User interactions Gameplay mechanics Forms and inputs Audio and video playback Animations and transitions End cards and CTAs Timers and game logic Tracking implementation (where applicable) Loading performance Responsiveness across supported devices and browsers 4. Defect Management Identify, document, prioritize, and communicate visual and functional issues. Provide clear, actionable feedback with screenshots, recordings, and reproduction steps. Perform regression testing to verify fixes and ensure no new issues are introduced. 5. Quality Standards & Process Improvement Develop and maintain QA standards, checklists, and testing procedures. Recommend improvements to workflows that reduce rework and improve delivery quality. Monitor quality trends, recurring defects, and root causes. Work with Operations and Project Managers to strengthen quality processes. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive QA tasks and validation processes to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and consistency. Collaborate with developers to implement and maintain automated testing workflows where applicable 6. Leadership & Team Development Provide technical guidance and coaching to QA team members. Assist in onboarding and training new QA personnel. Conduct quality calibrations to ensure consistent review standards. Support performance evaluations and continuous development of the QA team. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Designers, Developers, Team Leads, Project Managers, and Operations to resolve quality issues efficiently. Participate in project reviews, quality discussions, and post-mortem analyses. Communicate quality risks that may impact project timelines or client satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Game Testing, Interactive Advertising, Digital Production, or a related field. Previous experience leading or mentoring a QA team is preferred. Strong understanding of UI/UX, graphic design principles, and interactive advertising production. Experience testing HTML5, web-based, or mobile interactive content. Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and leadership skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. Experience developing or maintaining automated QA tests for HTML5 or web-based interactive applications.
