Employment Type: Full-time - Permanent Work from home set-up We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our fully remote team on behalf of our Australian accounting firm client. This role involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, preparing BAS, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for a portfolio of Australian clients. Key Responsibilities Record and categorize financial transactions using cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero). Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Process payroll, including superannuation and PAYG withholding. Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and PAYG submissions as required. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management insights. Liaise with accountants for tax and compliance matters. Maintain accurate, organized financial records and ensure data integrity. Requirements 2–5\+ years of bookkeeping experience (Australian clients preferred). Strong understanding of Australian GST and BAS reporting. Proficiency in Xero (MYOB or QuickBooks experience is a bonus). Solid knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank and credit card reconciliations. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working in accounting firms is highly preferred.
