As an Intermediate Accountant, you'll be a valued member of our tax and compliance team, trusted with meaningful client work and given real support to keep levelling up. You'll build on your fundamentals, tackle more challenging jobs, and develop the technical depth that sets great accountants apart. This is a role with variety, visibility, and a clear pathway forward. You won't be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll be continually learning, supported, and set up to succeed. What You'll Be Doing: Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for a variety of clients, including individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies. Grow your technical skills across a diverse client base, taking on increasingly complex jobs with guidance from managers and seniors. Provide tax planning services to ensure clients comply with Australian tax laws while identifying potential tax-saving opportunities. Conduct financial analysis, reconciliations, and complex accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance. Participate in professional development to stay current on accounting standards, laws, and best practices. Prepare clean workpapers, minimise review points, and learn from feedback to keep improving. Create comprehensive query lists for client information requests to keep jobs moving. Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, support colleagues, and get involved in process improvements. What Success Looks Like You'll deliver accurate, timely compliance work within budget, steadily take on more complexity and reduce review points over time, all while contributing positively to our team culture and staying current with best practices.
